3 The voice|strong="G5456" of one crying|strong="G0994" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2048", Prepare ye|strong="G2090" the way|strong="G3598" of the Lord|strong="G2962", make|strong="G4160" his|strong="G0846" paths|strong="G5147" straight|strong="G2117".
4 John|strong="G2491" did|strong="G1096" baptize|strong="G0907" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2048", and|strong="G2532" preach|strong="G2784" the baptism|strong="G0908" of repentance|strong="G3341" for|strong="G1519" the remission|strong="G0859" of sins|strong="G0266".
5 And|strong="G2532" there went out|strong="G1607" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3956" the land|strong="G5561" of Judæa|strong="G2449", and|strong="G2532" they of Jerusalem|strong="G2415", and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G0907" all|strong="G3956" baptized|strong="G0907" of|strong="G5259" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the river|strong="G4215" of Jordan|strong="G2446", confessing|strong="G1843" their|strong="G0846" sins|strong="G0266".
6 And|strong="G1161" John|strong="G2491" was|strong="G2258" clothed with|strong="G1746" camel’s|strong="G2574" hair|strong="G2359", and|strong="G2532" with a girdle|strong="G2223" of a skin|strong="G1193" about|strong="G4012" his|strong="G0846" loins|strong="G3751"; and|strong="G2532" he did eat|strong="G2068" locusts|strong="G0200" and|strong="G2532" wild|strong="G0066" honey|strong="G3192";
7 And|strong="G2532" preached|strong="G2784", saying|strong="G3004", There cometh|strong="G2064" one mightier than|strong="G2478" I|strong="G3450" after|strong="G3694" me|strong="G3450", the latchet|strong="G2438" of whose|strong="G3739" shoes|strong="G5266" I am|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" worthy|strong="G2425" to|strong="G3089" stoop down|strong="G2955" and unloose|strong="G3089".

10 And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" coming up|strong="G0305" out of|strong="G0575" the water|strong="G5204", he saw|strong="G1492" the heavens|strong="G3772" opened|strong="G4977", and|strong="G2532" the Spirit|strong="G4151" like|strong="G5616" a dove|strong="G4058" descending|strong="G2597" upon|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846":
11 And|strong="G2532" there came|strong="G1096" a voice|strong="G5456" from|strong="G1537" heaven|strong="G3772", saying, Thou|strong="G4771" art|strong="G1488" my|strong="G3450" beloved|strong="G0027" Son|strong="G5207", in|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" I am well pleased|strong="G2106".
12 And|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G2117" the Spirit|strong="G4151" driveth|strong="G1544" him|strong="G0846" into|strong="G1519" the wilderness|strong="G2048".
13 And|strong="G2532" he was|strong="G2258" there|strong="G1563" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2048" forty|strong="G5062" days|strong="G2250", tempted|strong="G3985" of|strong="G5259" Satan|strong="G4567"; and|strong="G2532" was|strong="G2258" with|strong="G3326" the wild beasts|strong="G2342"; and|strong="G2532" the angels|strong="G0032" ministered|strong="G1247" unto him|strong="G0846".
14 Now|strong="G1161" after|strong="G3326" that John|strong="G2491" was put in prison|strong="G3860", Jesus|strong="G2424" came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" Galilee|strong="G1056", preaching|strong="G2784" the gospel|strong="G2098" of the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316",
15 And|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004", \+w The time|strong="G2540"\+w* \+w is fulfilled|strong="G4137"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w is at hand|strong="G1448"\+w*: \+w repent ye|strong="G3340"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w believe|strong="G4100"\+w* \+w the gospel|strong="G2098"\+w*.
16 Now|strong="G1161" as he walked|strong="G4043" by|strong="G3844" the sea|strong="G2281" of Galilee|strong="G1056", he saw|strong="G1492" Simon|strong="G4613" and|strong="G2532" Andrew|strong="G0406" his|strong="G0846" brother|strong="G0080" casting|strong="G0906" a net|strong="G0293" into|strong="G1722" the sea|strong="G2281": for|strong="G1063" they were|strong="G2258" fishers|strong="G0231".
17 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Come ye|strong="G1205"\+w* \+w after|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3450"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w I will make|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w* \+w to become|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w fishers|strong="G0231"\+w* \+w of men|strong="G0444"\+w*.

19 And|strong="G2532" when he had gone|strong="G4260" a little further|strong="G3641" thence|strong="G1564", he saw|strong="G1492" James|strong="G2385" the son of Zebedee|strong="G2199", and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491" his|strong="G0846" brother|strong="G0080", who|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" were|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the ship|strong="G4143" mending|strong="G2675" their nets|strong="G1350".
20 And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" he called|strong="G2564" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" they left|strong="G0863" their|strong="G0846" father|strong="G3962" Zebedee|strong="G2199" in|strong="G1722" the ship|strong="G4143" with|strong="G3326" the hired servants|strong="G3411", and went|strong="G0565" after|strong="G3694" him|strong="G0846".
21 And|strong="G2532" they went|strong="G1531" into|strong="G1519" Capernaum|strong="G2584"; and|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" on the sabbath day|strong="G4521" he entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the synagogue|strong="G4864", and taught|strong="G1321".
22 And|strong="G2532" they were astonished|strong="G1605" at|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" doctrine|strong="G1322": for|strong="G1063" he|strong="G2258" taught|strong="G1321" them|strong="G0846" as|strong="G5613" one that had|strong="G2192" authority|strong="G1849", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" as|strong="G5613" the scribes|strong="G1122".
23 And|strong="G2532" there was|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" synagogue|strong="G4864" a man|strong="G0444" with|strong="G1722" an unclean|strong="G0169" spirit|strong="G4151"; and|strong="G2532" he cried out|strong="G0349",
24 Saying|strong="G3004", Let|strong="G1436" us alone|strong="G1436"; what have|strong="G5101" we to do|strong="G2254" with|strong="G2532" thee|strong="G4671", thou Jesus|strong="G2424" of Nazareth|strong="G3479"? art thou come|strong="G2064" to destroy|strong="G0622" us|strong="G2248"? I know|strong="G1492" thee|strong="G4571" who|strong="G5101" thou art|strong="G1488", the Holy One|strong="G0040" of God|strong="G2316".
25 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" rebuked|strong="G2008" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", \+w Hold thy peace|strong="G5392"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w come out|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*.
26 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G4682" the unclean|strong="G0169" spirit|strong="G4151" had torn|strong="G4682" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" cried|strong="G2896" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456", he came out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G1537" him|strong="G0846".
27 And|strong="G2532" they were|strong="G2284" all|strong="G3956" amazed|strong="G2284", insomuch that|strong="G5620" they questioned|strong="G4802" among|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", What|strong="G5101" thing is|strong="G2076" this|strong="G5124"? what|strong="G5101" new|strong="G2537" doctrine|strong="G1322" is this|strong="G3778"? for|strong="G3754" with|strong="G2596" authority|strong="G1849" commandeth he|strong="G2004" even|strong="G2532" the unclean|strong="G0169" spirits|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" they do obey|strong="G5219" him|strong="G0846".
28 And|strong="G1161" immediately|strong="G2117" his|strong="G0846" fame|strong="G0189" spread abroad|strong="G1831" throughout|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3650" the region round about|strong="G4066" Galilee|strong="G1056".
29 And|strong="G2532" forthwith|strong="G2112", when they were come out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G1537" the synagogue|strong="G4864", they entered|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" the house|strong="G3614" of Simon|strong="G4613" and|strong="G2532" Andrew|strong="G0406", with|strong="G3326" James|strong="G2385" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491".
30 But|strong="G1161" Simon’s|strong="G4613" wife’s mother|strong="G3994" lay|strong="G2621" sick of a fever|strong="G4445", and|strong="G2532" anon|strong="G2112" they tell|strong="G3004" him|strong="G0846" of|strong="G4012" her|strong="G0846".
31 And|strong="G2532" he came|strong="G4334" and took|strong="G2902" her|strong="G0846" by the hand|strong="G5495", and lifted|strong="G1453" her|strong="G0846" up|strong="G1453"; and|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G2112" the fever|strong="G4446" left|strong="G0863" her|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" she ministered|strong="G1247" unto them|strong="G0846".
32 And|strong="G1161" at even|strong="G3798", when|strong="G3753" the sun|strong="G2246" did|strong="G1096" set|strong="G1416", they brought|strong="G5342" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3956" that were|strong="G2192" diseased|strong="G2560", and|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" that were possessed with devils|strong="G1139".
33 And|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3650" the city|strong="G4172" was|strong="G2258" gathered together|strong="G1996" at|strong="G4314" the door|strong="G2374".
34 And|strong="G2532" he healed|strong="G2323" many|strong="G4183" that were|strong="G2192" sick|strong="G2560" of divers|strong="G4164" diseases|strong="G3554", and|strong="G2532" cast out|strong="G1544" many|strong="G4183" devils|strong="G1140"; and|strong="G2532" suffered|strong="G0863" not|strong="G3756" the devils|strong="G1140" to speak|strong="G2980", because|strong="G3754" they knew|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846".
35 And|strong="G2532" in the morning|strong="G4404", rising up|strong="G0450" a great while|strong="G3029" before day|strong="G1773", he went out|strong="G1831", and|strong="G2532" departed|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" a solitary|strong="G2048" place|strong="G5117", and there|strong="G2546" prayed|strong="G4336".
36 And|strong="G2532" Simon|strong="G4613" and|strong="G2532" they that were|strong="G3588" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846" followed after|strong="G2614" him|strong="G0846".
37 And|strong="G2532" when they had found|strong="G2147" him|strong="G0846", they said|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", All|strong="G3956" men seek for|strong="G2212" thee|strong="G4571".
38 And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Let us go|strong="G0071"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the next|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w towns|strong="G2969"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w I may preach|strong="G2784"\+w* \+w there also|strong="G2546"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w therefore|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w came I forth|strong="G1831"\+w*.
39 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2258" preached|strong="G2784" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" synagogues|strong="G4864" throughout|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3650" Galilee|strong="G1056", and|strong="G2532" cast out|strong="G1544" devils|strong="G1140".
40 And|strong="G2532" there came|strong="G2064" a leper|strong="G3015" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", beseeching|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" kneeling down|strong="G1120" to him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", If|strong="G1437" thou wilt|strong="G2309", thou canst make|strong="G1410" me|strong="G3165" clean|strong="G2511".
41 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424", moved with compassion|strong="G4697", put forth|strong="G1614" his hand|strong="G5495", and touched|strong="G0680" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w I will|strong="G2309"\+w*; \+w be thou clean|strong="G2511"\+w*.
42 And|strong="G2532" as soon as|strong="G2036" he|strong="G0846" had spoken|strong="G2036", immediately|strong="G2112" the leprosy|strong="G3014" departed|strong="G0565" from|strong="G0575" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" he was cleansed|strong="G2511".
43 And|strong="G2532" he straitly charged|strong="G1690" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G1690" forthwith|strong="G2112" sent|strong="G1544" him|strong="G0846" away|strong="G1544";
44 And|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w See|strong="G3708"\+w* \+w thou say|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w nothing|strong="G3367"\+w* \+w to any man|strong="G3367"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w go thy way|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w shew|strong="G1166"\+w* \+w thyself|strong="G4572"\+w* \+w to the priest|strong="G2409"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w offer|strong="G4374"\+w* \+w for|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w cleansing|strong="G2512"\+w* \+w those things which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w Moses|strong="G3475"\+w* \+w commanded|strong="G4367"\+w*, \+w for|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w a testimony|strong="G3142"\+w* \+w unto them|strong="G0846"\+w*.
45 But|strong="G1161" he went out|strong="G1831", and began|strong="G0756" to publish|strong="G2784" it much|strong="G4183", and|strong="G2532" to blaze abroad|strong="G1310" the matter|strong="G3056", insomuch that|strong="G5620" Jesus|strong="G0846" could|strong="G1410" no more|strong="G3371" openly|strong="G5320" enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the city|strong="G4172", but|strong="G0235" was|strong="G2258" without|strong="G1854" in|strong="G1722" desert|strong="G2048" places|strong="G5117": and|strong="G2532" they came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" from every quarter|strong="G3836".
