Then the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* answered|strong="H6030" Job|strong="H0347" out of the whirlwind|strong="H5591", and said|strong="H0559",
Who is this that darkeneth|strong="H2821" counsel|strong="H6098" by words|strong="H4405" without knowledge|strong="H1847"?
Gird up|strong="H0247" now thy loins|strong="H2504" like a man|strong="H1397"; for I will demand|strong="H7592" of thee, and answer|strong="H3045" thou me.
Where|strong="H0375" wast thou when I laid the foundations|strong="H3245" of the earth|strong="H0776"? declare|strong="H5046", if thou hast|strong="H3045" understanding|strong="H0998".
Who hath laid|strong="H7760" the measures|strong="H4461" thereof, if thou knowest|strong="H3045"? or who hath stretched|strong="H5186" the line|strong="H6957" upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations|strong="H0134" thereof fastened|strong="H2883"? or who laid|strong="H3384" the corner|strong="H6438" stone|strong="H0068" thereof;
When the morning|strong="H1242" stars|strong="H3556" sang|strong="H7442" together|strong="H3162", and all the sons|strong="H1121" of God|strong="H0430" shouted|strong="H7321" for joy?
Or who shut up|strong="H5526" the sea|strong="H3220" with doors|strong="H1817", when it brake forth|strong="H1518", as if it had issued out|strong="H3318" of the womb|strong="H7358"?
When I made|strong="H7760" the cloud|strong="H6051" the garment|strong="H3830" thereof, and thick darkness|strong="H6205" a swaddlingband|strong="H2854" for it,
And brake up|strong="H7665" for it my decreed|strong="H2706" place, and set|strong="H7760" bars|strong="H1280" and doors|strong="H1817",
And said|strong="H0559", Hitherto|strong="H5704" shalt thou come|strong="H0935", but no further|strong="H3254": and here shall thy proud|strong="H1347" waves|strong="H1530" be stayed|strong="H7896"?
Hast thou commanded|strong="H6680" the morning|strong="H1242" since thy days|strong="H3117"; and caused the dayspring|strong="H7837" to know|strong="H3045" his place|strong="H4725";
That it might take hold|strong="H0270" of the ends|strong="H3671" of the earth|strong="H0776", that the wicked|strong="H7563" might be shaken out|strong="H5287" of it?
It is turned|strong="H2015" as clay|strong="H2563" to the seal|strong="H2368"; and they stand|strong="H3320" as a garment|strong="H3830".
And from the wicked|strong="H7563" their light|strong="H0216" is withholden|strong="H4513", and the high|strong="H7311" arm|strong="H2220" shall be broken|strong="H7665".
Hast thou entered|strong="H0935" into the springs|strong="H5033" of the sea|strong="H3220"? or hast thou walked|strong="H1980" in the search|strong="H2714" of the depth|strong="H8415"?
Have the gates|strong="H8179" of death|strong="H4194" been opened|strong="H1540" unto thee? or hast thou seen|strong="H7200" the doors|strong="H8179" of the shadow of death|strong="H6757"?
Hast thou perceived|strong="H0995" the breadth|strong="H7338" of the earth|strong="H0776"? declare|strong="H5046" if thou knowest|strong="H3045" it all.
Where is the way|strong="H1870" where light|strong="H0216" dwelleth|strong="H7931"? and as for darkness|strong="H2822", where is the place|strong="H4725" thereof,
That thou shouldest take|strong="H3947" it to the bound|strong="H1366" thereof, and that thou shouldest know|strong="H0995" the paths|strong="H5410" to the house|strong="H1004" thereof?
Knowest|strong="H3045" thou it, because thou wast then born|strong="H3205"? or because the number|strong="H4557" of thy days|strong="H3117" is great|strong="H7227"?
Hast thou entered|strong="H0935" into the treasures|strong="H0214" of the snow|strong="H7950"? or hast thou seen|strong="H7200" the treasures|strong="H0214" of the hail|strong="H1259",
Which I have reserved|strong="H2820" against the time|strong="H6256" of trouble|strong="H6862", against the day|strong="H3117" of battle|strong="H7128" and war|strong="H4421"?
By what|strong="H0335" way|strong="H1870" is the light|strong="H0216" parted|strong="H2505", which scattereth|strong="H6327" the east wind|strong="H6921" upon the earth|strong="H0776"?
Who hath divided|strong="H6385" a watercourse|strong="H8585" for the overflowing of waters|strong="H7858", or a way|strong="H1870" for the lightning|strong="H2385" of thunder|strong="H6963";
To cause it to rain|strong="H4305" on the earth|strong="H0776", where no man|strong="H0376" is; on the wilderness|strong="H4057", wherein there is no man|strong="H0120";
To satisfy|strong="H7646" the desolate|strong="H7722" and waste|strong="H4875" ground; and to cause the bud|strong="H4161" of the tender herb|strong="H1877" to spring forth|strong="H6779"?
Hath|strong="H3426" the rain|strong="H4306" a father|strong="H0001"? or who hath begotten|strong="H3205" the drops|strong="H0096" of dew|strong="H2919"?
Out of whose womb|strong="H0990" came|strong="H3318" the ice|strong="H7140"? and the hoary frost|strong="H3713" of heaven|strong="H8064", who hath gendered|strong="H3205" it?
The waters|strong="H4325" are hid|strong="H2244" as with a stone|strong="H0068", and the face|strong="H6440" of the deep|strong="H8415" is frozen|strong="H3920".
Canst thou bind|strong="H7194" the sweet influences|strong="H4575" of Pleiades|strong="H3598", or loose|strong="H6605" the bands|strong="H4189" of Orion|strong="H3685"?
Canst thou bring forth|strong="H3318" Mazzaroth|strong="H4216" in his season|strong="H6256"? or canst thou guide|strong="H5148" Arcturus|strong="H5906" with his sons|strong="H1121"?
Knowest|strong="H3045" thou the ordinances|strong="H2708" of heaven|strong="H8064"? canst thou set|strong="H7760" the dominion|strong="H4896" thereof in the earth|strong="H0776"?
Canst thou lift up|strong="H7311" thy voice|strong="H6963" to the clouds|strong="H5645", that abundance|strong="H8229" of waters|strong="H4325" may cover|strong="H3680" thee?
Canst thou send|strong="H7971" lightnings|strong="H1300", that they may go|strong="H3212", and say|strong="H0559" unto thee, Here we are?
Who hath put|strong="H7896" wisdom|strong="H2451" in the inward parts|strong="H2910"? or who hath given|strong="H5414" understanding|strong="H0998" to the heart|strong="H7907"?
Who can number|strong="H5608" the clouds|strong="H7834" in wisdom|strong="H2451"? or who can stay|strong="H7901" the bottles|strong="H5035" of heaven|strong="H8064",
When the dust|strong="H6083" groweth|strong="H3332" into hardness|strong="H4165", and the clods|strong="H7263" cleave fast together|strong="H1692"?
Wilt thou hunt|strong="H6679" the prey|strong="H2964" for the lion|strong="H3833"? or fill|strong="H4390" the appetite|strong="H2416" of the young lions|strong="H3715",
When they couch|strong="H7817" in their dens|strong="H4585", and abide|strong="H3427" in the covert|strong="H5521" to|strong="H3926" lie in wait|strong="H0695"?
Who provideth|strong="H3559" for the raven|strong="H6158" his food|strong="H6718"? when his young ones|strong="H3206" cry|strong="H7768" unto God|strong="H0410", they wander|strong="H8582" for lack|strong="H1097" of meat|strong="H0400".
