Elihu|strong="H0453" also proceeded|strong="H3254", and said|strong="H0559",
Suffer|strong="H3803" me a little|strong="H2191", and I will shew|strong="H2331" thee that I have yet to speak|strong="H4405" on God’s|strong="H0433" behalf.
I will fetch|strong="H5375" my knowledge|strong="H1843" from afar|strong="H7350", and will ascribe|strong="H5414" righteousness|strong="H6664" to my Maker|strong="H6466".
For truly|strong="H0551" my words|strong="H4405" shall not be false|strong="H8267": he that is perfect|strong="H8549" in knowledge|strong="H1844" is with thee.
Behold, God|strong="H0410" is mighty|strong="H3524", and despiseth|strong="H3988" not any: he is mighty|strong="H3524" in strength|strong="H3581" and wisdom|strong="H3820".
He preserveth not the life|strong="H2421" of the wicked|strong="H7563": but giveth|strong="H5414" right|strong="H4941" to the poor|strong="H6041".
He withdraweth|strong="H1639" not his eyes|strong="H5869" from the righteous|strong="H6662": but with kings|strong="H4428" are they on the throne|strong="H3678"; yea, he doth establish|strong="H3427" them for ever|strong="H5331", and they are exalted|strong="H1361".
And if they be bound|strong="H0631" in fetters|strong="H2131", and be holden|strong="H3920" in cords|strong="H2256" of affliction|strong="H6040";
Then he sheweth|strong="H5046" them their work|strong="H6467", and their transgressions|strong="H6588" that they have exceeded|strong="H1396".
He openeth|strong="H1540" also their ear|strong="H0241" to discipline|strong="H4148", and commandeth|strong="H0559" that they return|strong="H7725" from iniquity|strong="H0205".
If they obey|strong="H8085" and serve|strong="H5647" him, they shall spend|strong="H3615" their days|strong="H3117" in prosperity|strong="H2896", and their years|strong="H8141" in pleasures|strong="H5273".
But if they obey|strong="H8085" not, they shall perish|strong="H5674" by the sword|strong="H7973", and they shall die|strong="H1478" without knowledge|strong="H1847".
But the hypocrites|strong="H2611" in heart|strong="H3820" heap up|strong="H7760" wrath|strong="H0639": they cry|strong="H7768" not when he bindeth|strong="H0631" them.
They|strong="H5315" die|strong="H4191" in youth|strong="H5290", and their life|strong="H2416" is among the unclean|strong="H6945".
He delivereth|strong="H2502" the poor|strong="H6041" in his affliction|strong="H6040", and openeth|strong="H1540" their ears|strong="H0241" in oppression|strong="H3906".
Even so would he have removed|strong="H5496" thee out of the strait|strong="H6310" into a broad place|strong="H7338", where|strong="H8478" there is no straitness|strong="H4164"; and that which should be set|strong="H5183" on thy table|strong="H7979" should be full|strong="H4390" of fatness|strong="H1880".
But thou hast fulfilled|strong="H4390" the judgment|strong="H1779" of the wicked|strong="H7563": judgment|strong="H1779" and justice|strong="H4941" take hold|strong="H8551" on thee.
Because there is wrath|strong="H2534", beware lest he take thee away|strong="H5496" with his stroke|strong="H5607": then a great|strong="H7230" ransom|strong="H3724" cannot deliver|strong="H5186" thee.
Will he esteem|strong="H6186" thy riches|strong="H7769"? no, not gold|strong="H1222", nor all the forces|strong="H3981" of strength|strong="H3581".
Desire|strong="H7602" not the night|strong="H3915", when people|strong="H5971" are cut off|strong="H5927" in their place.
Take heed|strong="H8104", regard|strong="H6437" not iniquity|strong="H0205": for this hast thou chosen|strong="H0977" rather than affliction|strong="H6040".
Behold, God|strong="H0410" exalteth|strong="H7682" by his power|strong="H3581": who teacheth|strong="H3384" like him?
Who hath enjoined|strong="H6485" him his way|strong="H1870"? or who can say|strong="H0559", Thou hast wrought|strong="H6466" iniquity|strong="H5766"?
Remember|strong="H2142" that thou magnify|strong="H7679" his work|strong="H6467", which men|strong="H0582" behold|strong="H7891".
Every man|strong="H0120" may see|strong="H2372" it; man|strong="H0582" may behold|strong="H5027" it afar off|strong="H7350".
Behold, God|strong="H0410" is great|strong="H7689", and we know|strong="H3045" him not, neither can the number|strong="H4557" of his years|strong="H8141" be searched out|strong="H2714".
For he maketh small|strong="H1639" the drops|strong="H5198" of water|strong="H4325": they pour down|strong="H2212" rain|strong="H4306" according to the vapour|strong="H0108" thereof:
Which the clouds|strong="H7834" do drop|strong="H5140" and distil|strong="H7491" upon man|strong="H0120" abundantly|strong="H7227".
Also can any understand|strong="H0995" the spreadings|strong="H4666" of the clouds|strong="H5645", or the noise|strong="H8663" of his tabernacle|strong="H5521"?
Behold, he spreadeth|strong="H6566" his light|strong="H0216" upon it, and covereth|strong="H3680" the bottom|strong="H8328" of the sea|strong="H3220".
For by them judgeth|strong="H1777" he the people|strong="H5971"; he giveth|strong="H5414" meat|strong="H0400" in abundance|strong="H4342".
With clouds|strong="H3709" he covereth|strong="H3680" the light|strong="H0216"; and commandeth|strong="H6680" it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt|strong="H6293".
The noise|strong="H7452" thereof sheweth|strong="H5046" concerning it, the cattle|strong="H4735" also concerning the vapour|strong="H5927".
