3 And|strong="G1161" the scribes|strong="G1122" and|strong="G2532" Pharisees|strong="G5330" brought|strong="G0071" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" a woman|strong="G1135" taken|strong="G2638" in|strong="G1722" adultery|strong="G3430"; and|strong="G2532" when they had set|strong="G2476" her|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the midst|strong="G3319",
4 They say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Master|strong="G1320", this|strong="G3778" woman|strong="G1135" was taken|strong="G2638" in adultery|strong="G3431", in the very act|strong="G1888".
5 Now|strong="G1161" Moses|strong="G3475" in|strong="G1722" the law|strong="G3551" commanded|strong="G1781" us|strong="G2254", that|strong="G3588" such|strong="G5108" should be stoned|strong="G3036": but|strong="G3767" what|strong="G5101" sayest|strong="G3004" thou|strong="G4771"?
6 This|strong="G5124" they said|strong="G3004", tempting|strong="G3985" him|strong="G0846", that|strong="G2443" they might have|strong="G2192" to accuse|strong="G2723" him|strong="G0846". 16 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w yet|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w judge|strong="G2919"\+w*, \+w my|strong="G1699"\+w* \+w judgment|strong="G2920"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w true|strong="G0227"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w I am|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w alone|strong="G3441"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w that sent|strong="G3992"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*.
17 \+w It is|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w also|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w written|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5212"\+w* \+w law|strong="G3551"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w the testimony|strong="G3141"\+w* \+w of two|strong="G1417"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w true|strong="G0227"\+w*.
18 \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w am|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w one that bear witness|strong="G3140"\+w* \+w of|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w myself|strong="G1683"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w that sent|strong="G3992"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w beareth witness|strong="G3140"\+w* \+w of|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w*.
19 Then|strong="G3767" said they|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Where|strong="G4226" is|strong="G2076" thy|strong="G4675" Father|strong="G3962"? 20 These|strong="G5023" words|strong="G4487" spake|strong="G2980" Jesus|strong="G2424" in|strong="G1722" the treasury|strong="G1049", as he taught|strong="G1321" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411": and|strong="G2532" no man|strong="G3762" laid hands|strong="G4084" on him|strong="G0846"; for|strong="G3754" his|strong="G0846" hour|strong="G5610" was|strong="G2064" not yet|strong="G3768" come|strong="G2064".
21 Then|strong="G3767" said|strong="G2036" Jesus|strong="G2424" again|strong="G3825" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w go my way|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w ye shall seek|strong="G2212"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall die|strong="G0599"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w sins|strong="G0266"\+w*: \+w whither|strong="G3699"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w go|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w cannot|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w*.
22 Then|strong="G3767" said|strong="G3004" the Jews|strong="G2453", Will|strong="G3385" he kill|strong="G0615" himself|strong="G1438"? because|strong="G3754" he saith|strong="G3004", Whither|strong="G3699" I|strong="G1473" go|strong="G5217", ye|strong="G5210" cannot|strong="G3756" come|strong="G2064".
23 And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2075"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w beneath|strong="G2736"\+w*; \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w am|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w above|strong="G0507"\+w*: \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2075"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5127"\+w* \+w world|strong="G2889"\+w*; \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w am|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5127"\+w* \+w world|strong="G2889"\+w*.

31 Then|strong="G3767" said|strong="G3004" Jesus|strong="G2424" to|strong="G4314" those|strong="G4100" Jews|strong="G2453" which believed|strong="G4100" on him|strong="G0846", \+w If|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w continue|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1699"\+w* \+w word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+add then\+add* \+w are ye|strong="G2075"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w disciples|strong="G3101"\+w* \+w indeed|strong="G0230"\+w*;
32 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w ye shall know|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w the truth|strong="G0225"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the truth|strong="G0225"\+w* \+w shall make|strong="G1659"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w* \+w free|strong="G1659"\+w*.
33 They answered|strong="G0611" him|strong="G0846", We be|strong="G2070" Abraham’s|strong="G0011" seed|strong="G4690", and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G1398" never|strong="G4455" in bondage|strong="G1398" to any man|strong="G3762": how|strong="G4459" sayest|strong="G3004" thou|strong="G4771", Ye shall be made|strong="G1096" free|strong="G1658"?
34 Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w*, \+w verily|strong="G0281"\+w*, \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w Whosoever|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w committeth|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w sin|strong="G0266"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the servant|strong="G1401"\+w* \+w of sin|strong="G0266"\+w*.
35 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w the servant|strong="G1401"\+w* \+w abideth|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the house|strong="G3614"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w ever|strong="G0165"\+w*: \+add but\+add* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w abideth|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w ever|strong="G0165"\+w*.
36 \+w If|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w therefore|strong="G3767"\+w* \+w shall make|strong="G1659"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w* \+w free|strong="G1659"\+w*, \+w ye shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w free|strong="G1658"\+w* \+w indeed|strong="G3689"\+w*.

39 They answered|strong="G0611" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Abraham|strong="G0011" is|strong="G2076" our|strong="G2257" father|strong="G3962". 40 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w* \+w ye seek|strong="G2212"\+w* \+w to kill|strong="G0615"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*, \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w hath told|strong="G2980"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w the truth|strong="G0225"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w I have heard|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*: \+w this|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w did|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w Abraham|strong="G0011"\+w*.

43 \+w Why|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w do ye|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w understand|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1699"\+w* \+w speech|strong="G2981"\+w*? \+add even\+add* \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w cannot|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1699"\+w* \+w word|strong="G3056"\+w*.
