2 Now|strong="G1161" there is|strong="G2076" at|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2414" by|strong="G1909" the sheep|strong="G4262" market a pool|strong="G2861", which is called|strong="G1951" in the Hebrew tongue|strong="G1447" Bethesda|strong="G0964", having|strong="G2192" five|strong="G4002" porches|strong="G4745".
3 In|strong="G1722" these|strong="G3778" lay|strong="G2621" a|strong="G4128" great|strong="G4183" multitude|strong="G4128" of impotent folk|strong="G0770", of blind|strong="G5185", halt|strong="G5560", withered|strong="G3584", waiting for|strong="G1551" the moving|strong="G2796" of the water|strong="G5204".
4 For|strong="G1063" an angel|strong="G0032" went down|strong="G2597" at a certain|strong="G2596" season|strong="G2540" into|strong="G1722" the pool|strong="G2861", and|strong="G2532" troubled|strong="G5015" the water|strong="G5204": whosoever|strong="G3588" then|strong="G3767" first|strong="G4413" after|strong="G3326" the troubling|strong="G5016" of the water|strong="G5204" stepped in|strong="G1684" was made|strong="G1096" whole|strong="G5199" of|strong="G3553" whatsoever|strong="G1221" disease|strong="G3553" he had|strong="G2722".

7 The impotent man|strong="G0770" answered|strong="G0611" him|strong="G0846", Sir|strong="G2962", I have|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3756" man|strong="G0444", when|strong="G3752" the water|strong="G5204" is troubled|strong="G5015", to|strong="G2443" put|strong="G0906" me|strong="G3165" into|strong="G1519" the pool|strong="G2861": but|strong="G1161" while|strong="G3739" I|strong="G1473" am coming|strong="G2064", another|strong="G0243" steppeth down|strong="G2597" before|strong="G4253" me|strong="G1700".

10 The Jews|strong="G2453" therefore|strong="G3767" said|strong="G3004" unto him that was cured|strong="G2323", It is|strong="G2076" the sabbath day|strong="G4521": it is|strong="G1832" not|strong="G3756" lawful|strong="G1832" for thee|strong="G4671" to carry|strong="G0142" thy bed|strong="G2895".
11 He answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", He that made|strong="G4160" me|strong="G3165" whole|strong="G5199", the same|strong="G1565" said|strong="G2036" unto me|strong="G3427", Take up|strong="G0142" thy|strong="G4675" bed|strong="G2895", and|strong="G2532" walk|strong="G4043".

13 And|strong="G1161" he that was healed|strong="G2390" wist|strong="G1492" not|strong="G3756" who|strong="G5101" it was|strong="G2076": for|strong="G1063" Jesus|strong="G2424" had conveyed himself away|strong="G1593", a multitude|strong="G3793" being|strong="G5607" in|strong="G1722" that place|strong="G5117".
14 Afterward|strong="G3326" Jesus|strong="G2424" findeth|strong="G2147" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Behold|strong="G1492"\+w*, \+w thou art made|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w whole|strong="G5199"\+w*: \+w sin|strong="G0264"\+w* \+w no more|strong="G3371"\+w*, \+w lest|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w a worse|strong="G5501"\+w* \+w thing|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w unto thee|strong="G4671"\+w*.
15 The man|strong="G0444" departed|strong="G0565", and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G0312" the Jews|strong="G2453" that|strong="G3754" it was|strong="G2076" Jesus|strong="G2424", which had made|strong="G4160" him|strong="G0846" whole|strong="G5199".
16 And|strong="G2532" therefore|strong="G1223" did|strong="G1377" the Jews|strong="G2453" persecute|strong="G1377" Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" sought|strong="G2212" to slay|strong="G0615" him|strong="G0846", because|strong="G3754" he had done|strong="G4160" these things|strong="G5023" on|strong="G1722" the sabbath day|strong="G4521".
17 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", \+w My|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w worketh|strong="G2038"\+w* \+w hitherto|strong="G0737"\+w*, \+w and I|strong="G2504"\+w* \+w work|strong="G2038"\+w*.
18 Therefore|strong="G1223" the Jews|strong="G2453" sought|strong="G2212" the more|strong="G3123" to kill|strong="G0615" him|strong="G0846", because|strong="G3754" he|strong="G3089" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" had broken|strong="G3089" the sabbath|strong="G4521", but|strong="G0235" said|strong="G3004" also|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3004" God|strong="G2316" was his|strong="G2398" Father|strong="G3962", making|strong="G4160" himself|strong="G1438" equal|strong="G2470" with God|strong="G2316".

20 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w loveth|strong="G5368"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w sheweth|strong="G1166"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w all things|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w doeth|strong="G4160"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he will shew|strong="G1166"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w greater|strong="G3173"\+w* \+w works|strong="G2041"\+w* \+w than these|strong="G5130"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w may marvel|strong="G2296"\+w*.
21 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5618"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w raiseth up|strong="G1453"\+w* \+w the dead|strong="G3498"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w quickeneth|strong="G2227"\+w* \+add them\+add*; \+w even|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w so|strong="G3779"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w quickeneth|strong="G2227"\+w* \+w whom|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w he will|strong="G2309"\+w*.
22 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w judgeth|strong="G2919"\+w* \+w no man|strong="G3762"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w hath committed|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w all|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w judgment|strong="G2920"\+w* \+w unto the Son|strong="G5207"\+w*:
23 \+w That|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w all|strong="G3956"\+w* \+add men\+add* \+w should honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w*, \+w even as|strong="G2531"\+w* \+w they honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w*. \+w He that honoureth|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w honoureth|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w the Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w which hath sent|strong="G3992"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*.

27 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w hath given|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w authority|strong="G1849"\+w* \+w to execute|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w judgment|strong="G2920"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w*, \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w he is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w*.

35 \+w He|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w was|strong="G2258"\+w* \+w a|strong="G3088"\+w* \+w burning|strong="G2545"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w a shining|strong="G5316"\+w* \+w light|strong="G3088"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w were willing|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w for|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w a season|strong="G5610"\+w* \+w to rejoice|strong="G0021"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w light|strong="G5457"\+w*.
