Isaías 64

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Oh|strong="H3863" that thou wouldest rend|strong="H7167" the heavens|strong="H8064", that thou wouldest come down|strong="H3381", that the mountains|strong="H2022" might flow down|strong="H2151" at thy presence|strong="H6440",

As when the melting|strong="H2003" fire|strong="H0784" burneth|strong="H6919", the fire|strong="H0784" causeth the waters|strong="H4325" to boil|strong="H1158", to make thy name|strong="H8034" known|strong="H3045" to thine adversaries|strong="H6862", that the nations|strong="H1471" may tremble|strong="H7264" at thy presence|strong="H6440"!

When thou didst|strong="H6213" terrible things|strong="H3372" which we looked|strong="H6960" not for, thou camest down|strong="H3381", the mountains|strong="H2022" flowed down|strong="H2151" at thy presence|strong="H6440".

For since the beginning of the world|strong="H5769" men have not heard|strong="H8085", nor perceived by the ear|strong="H0238", neither hath the eye|strong="H5869" seen|strong="H7200", O God|strong="H0430", beside|strong="H2108" thee, what he hath prepared|strong="H6213" for him that waiteth|strong="H2442" for him.

Thou meetest|strong="H6293" him that rejoiceth|strong="H7797" and worketh|strong="H6213" righteousness|strong="H6664", those that remember|strong="H2142" thee in thy ways|strong="H1870": behold, thou art wroth|strong="H7107"; for we have sinned|strong="H2398": in those is continuance|strong="H5769", and we shall be saved|strong="H3467".

But we are all as an unclean|strong="H2931" thing, and all our righteousnesses|strong="H6666" are as filthy|strong="H5708" rags|strong="H0899"; and we all do fade|strong="H5034" as a leaf|strong="H5929"; and our iniquities|strong="H5771", like the wind|strong="H7307", have taken us away|strong="H5375".

And there is none that calleth|strong="H7121" upon thy name|strong="H8034", that stirreth up|strong="H5782" himself to take hold|strong="H2388" of thee: for thou hast hid|strong="H5641" thy face|strong="H6440" from us, and hast consumed|strong="H4127" us, because|strong="H3027" of our iniquities|strong="H5771".

But now, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, thou art our father|strong="H0001"; we are the clay|strong="H2563", and thou our potter|strong="H3335"; and we all are the work|strong="H4639" of thy hand|strong="H3027".

Be not wroth|strong="H7107" very sore|strong="H3966", O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, neither remember|strong="H2142" iniquity|strong="H5771" for ever|strong="H5703": behold, see|strong="H5027", we beseech thee, we are all thy people|strong="H5971".

Thy holy|strong="H6944" cities|strong="H5892" are a wilderness|strong="H4057", Zion|strong="H6726" is a wilderness|strong="H4057", Jerusalem|strong="H3389" a desolation|strong="H8077".

Our holy|strong="H6944" and our beautiful|strong="H8597" house|strong="H1004", where our fathers|strong="H0001" praised|strong="H1984" thee, is burned up|strong="H8316" with fire|strong="H0784": and all our pleasant things|strong="H4261" are laid waste|strong="H2723".

Wilt thou refrain|strong="H0662" thyself for these things, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*? wilt thou hold thy peace|strong="H2814", and afflict|strong="H6031" us very sore|strong="H3966"?
