1 And it came to pass, when men|strong="H0120" began|strong="H2490" to multiply|strong="H7231" on|strong="H5921" the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127", and daughters|strong="H1323" were born|strong="H3205" unto them,
2 That the sons|strong="H1121" of God|strong="H0430" saw|strong="H7200" the daughters|strong="H1323" of men|strong="H0120" that they|strong="H2007" were fair|strong="H2896"; and they took|strong="H3947" them wives|strong="H0802" of all which they chose|strong="H0977".
3 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", My spirit|strong="H7307" shall not always|strong="H5769" strive|strong="H1777" with man|strong="H0120", for that he also|strong="H1571" is flesh|strong="H1320": yet his days|strong="H3117" shall be an hundred|strong="H3967" and twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141".
4 There were giants|strong="H5303" in the earth|strong="H0776" in those days|strong="H3117"; and also after|strong="H0310" that|strong="H3651", when|strong="H0834" the sons|strong="H1121" of God|strong="H0430" came in|strong="H0935" unto the daughters|strong="H1323" of men|strong="H0120", and they bare|strong="H3205" children to them, the same|strong="H1992" became mighty men|strong="H1368" which were of old|strong="H5769", men|strong="H0582" of renown|strong="H8034".
5 And \+w GOD|strong="H3068"\+w* saw|strong="H7200" that the wickedness|strong="H7451" of man|strong="H0120" was great|strong="H7227" in the earth|strong="H0776", and that every imagination|strong="H3336" of the thoughts|strong="H4284" of his heart|strong="H3820" was only|strong="H7535" evil|strong="H7451" continually|strong="H3117".
6 And it repented|strong="H5162" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* that he had made|strong="H6213" man|strong="H0120" on the earth|strong="H0776", and it grieved|strong="H6087" him at|strong="H0413" his heart|strong="H3820".
7 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", I will destroy|strong="H4229" man|strong="H0120" whom I have created|strong="H1254" from the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127"; both man|strong="H0120", and|strong="H5704" beast|strong="H0929", and the creeping thing|strong="H7431", and the fowls|strong="H5775" of the air|strong="H8064"; for it repenteth|strong="H5162" me that I have made|strong="H6213" them.
8 But Noah|strong="H5146" found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in the eyes|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
9 These are the generations|strong="H8435" of Noah|strong="H5146": Noah|strong="H5146" was a just|strong="H6662" man|strong="H0376" and perfect|strong="H8549" in his generations|strong="H1755", and Noah|strong="H5146" walked|strong="H1980" with God|strong="H0430".
10 And Noah|strong="H5146" begat|strong="H3205" three|strong="H7969" sons|strong="H1121", Shem|strong="H8035", Ham|strong="H2526", and Japheth|strong="H3315".
11 The earth|strong="H0776" also was corrupt|strong="H7843" before|strong="H6440" God|strong="H0430", and the earth|strong="H0776" was filled|strong="H4390" with violence|strong="H2555".
12 And God|strong="H0430" looked|strong="H7200" upon the earth|strong="H0776", and, behold, it was corrupt|strong="H7843"; for all flesh|strong="H1320" had corrupted|strong="H7843" his way|strong="H1870" upon the earth|strong="H0776".
13 And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto Noah|strong="H5146", The end|strong="H7093" of all flesh|strong="H1320" is come|strong="H0935" before me|strong="H6440"; for the earth|strong="H0776" is filled with|strong="H4390" violence|strong="H2555" through them|strong="H6440"; and, behold, I will destroy|strong="H7843" them with|strong="H0854" the earth|strong="H0776".
14 Make|strong="H6213" thee an ark|strong="H8392" of gopher|strong="H1613" wood|strong="H6086"; rooms|strong="H7064" shalt thou make|strong="H6213" in|strong="H0854" the ark|strong="H8392", and shalt pitch|strong="H3722" it within|strong="H1004" and without|strong="H2351" with pitch|strong="H3724".
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make|strong="H6213" it of: The length|strong="H0753" of the ark|strong="H8392" shall be three|strong="H7969" hundred|strong="H3967" cubits|strong="H0520", the breadth|strong="H7341" of it fifty|strong="H2572" cubits|strong="H0520", and the height|strong="H6967" of it thirty|strong="H7970" cubits|strong="H0520".
16 A window|strong="H6672" shalt thou make|strong="H6213" to the ark|strong="H8392", and in a cubit|strong="H0520" shalt thou finish|strong="H3615" it above|strong="H4605"; and the door|strong="H6607" of the ark|strong="H8392" shalt thou set|strong="H7760" in the side thereof|strong="H6654"; with lower|strong="H8482", second|strong="H8145", and third|strong="H7992" stories shalt thou make|strong="H6213" it.
17 And, behold|strong="H2009", I|strong="H0589", even I, do bring|strong="H0935" a flood|strong="H3999" of waters|strong="H4325" upon the earth|strong="H0776", to destroy|strong="H7843" all flesh|strong="H1320", wherein is the breath|strong="H7307" of life|strong="H2416", from under|strong="H8478" heaven|strong="H8064"; and every thing|strong="H3605" that is in the earth|strong="H0776" shall die|strong="H1478".
18 But with thee will I establish|strong="H6965" my covenant|strong="H1285"; and thou shalt come|strong="H0935" into|strong="H0413" the ark|strong="H8392", thou|strong="H0859", and thy sons|strong="H1121", and thy wife|strong="H0802", and thy sons’|strong="H1121" wives|strong="H0802" with thee.
19 And of every living thing|strong="H2416" of all flesh|strong="H1320", two|strong="H8147" of every sort shalt thou bring|strong="H0935" into the ark|strong="H8392", to keep them alive|strong="H2421" with thee; they shall be male|strong="H2145" and female|strong="H5347".
20 Of fowls|strong="H5775" after their kind|strong="H4327", and of cattle|strong="H0929" after their kind|strong="H4327", of every creeping thing|strong="H7431" of the earth|strong="H0127" after his kind|strong="H4327", two|strong="H8147" of every sort shall come|strong="H0935" unto thee, to keep them alive|strong="H2421".
21 And take|strong="H3947" thou unto thee of all food|strong="H3978" that is eaten|strong="H0398", and thou shalt gather|strong="H0622" it to thee; and it shall be for food|strong="H0402" for thee, and for them.
22 Thus did|strong="H6213" Noah|strong="H5146"; according to all that God|strong="H0430" commanded|strong="H6680" him, so did|strong="H6213" he.
