Ezequiel 29

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

In the tenth|strong="H6224" year|strong="H8141", in the tenth|strong="H6224" month, in the twelfth|strong="H8147" day of the month|strong="H2320", the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",

Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", set|strong="H7760" thy face|strong="H6440" against Pharaoh|strong="H6547" king|strong="H4428" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and prophesy|strong="H5012" against him, and against all Egypt|strong="H4714":

Speak|strong="H1696", and say|strong="H0559", Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh|strong="H6547" king|strong="H4428" of Egypt|strong="H4714", the great|strong="H1419" dragon|strong="H8577" that lieth|strong="H7257" in the midst|strong="H8432" of his rivers|strong="H2975", which hath said|strong="H0559", My river|strong="H2975" is mine own, and I have made|strong="H6213" it for myself.

But I will put|strong="H5414" hooks|strong="H2397" in thy jaws|strong="H3895", and I will cause the fish|strong="H1710" of thy rivers|strong="H2975" to stick|strong="H1692" unto thy scales|strong="H7193", and I will bring thee up|strong="H5927" out of the midst|strong="H8432" of thy rivers|strong="H2975", and all the fish|strong="H1710" of thy rivers|strong="H2975" shall stick|strong="H1692" unto thy scales|strong="H7193".

And I will leave|strong="H5203" thee thrown into the wilderness|strong="H4057", thee and all the fish|strong="H1710" of thy rivers|strong="H2975": thou shalt fall|strong="H5307" upon the open|strong="H6440" fields|strong="H7704"; thou shalt not be brought together|strong="H0622", nor gathered|strong="H6908": I have given|strong="H5414" thee for meat|strong="H0402" to the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H0776" and to the fowls|strong="H5775" of the heaven|strong="H8064".

And all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Egypt|strong="H4714" shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, because they have been a staff|strong="H4938" of reed|strong="H7070" to the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478".

When they took hold|strong="H8610" of thee by thy hand|strong="H3709", thou didst break|strong="H7533", and rend|strong="H1234" all their shoulder|strong="H3802": and when they leaned|strong="H8172" upon thee, thou brakest|strong="H7665", and madest all their loins|strong="H4975" to be at a stand|strong="H5976".

Therefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I will bring|strong="H0935" a sword|strong="H2719" upon thee, and cut off|strong="H3772" man|strong="H0120" and beast|strong="H0929" out of thee.

And the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" shall be desolate|strong="H8077" and waste|strong="H2723"; and they shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: because he hath said|strong="H0559", The river|strong="H2975" is mine, and I have made|strong="H6213" it.

Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers|strong="H2975", and I will make|strong="H5414" the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" utterly|strong="H2721" waste|strong="H2723" and desolate|strong="H8077", from the tower|strong="H4024" of Syene|strong="H5482" even unto the border|strong="H1366" of Ethiopia|strong="H3568".

No foot|strong="H7272" of man|strong="H0120" shall pass through|strong="H5674" it, nor foot|strong="H7272" of beast|strong="H0929" shall pass through|strong="H5674" it, neither shall it be inhabited|strong="H3427" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141".

And I will make|strong="H5414" the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" desolate|strong="H8077" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the countries|strong="H0776" that are desolate|strong="H8074", and her cities|strong="H5892" among|strong="H8432" the cities|strong="H5892" that are laid waste|strong="H2717" shall be desolate|strong="H8077" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141": and I will scatter|strong="H6327" the Egyptians|strong="H4714" among the nations|strong="H1471", and will disperse|strong="H2219" them through the countries|strong="H0776".

Yet thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; At the end|strong="H7093" of forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141" will I gather|strong="H6908" the Egyptians|strong="H4714" from the people|strong="H5971" whither they were scattered|strong="H6327":

And I will bring again|strong="H7725" the captivity|strong="H7622" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and will cause them to return|strong="H7725" into the land|strong="H0776" of Pathros|strong="H6624", into the land|strong="H0776" of their habitation|strong="H4351"; and they shall be there a base|strong="H8217" kingdom|strong="H4467".

It shall be the basest|strong="H8217" of the kingdoms|strong="H4467"; neither shall it exalt|strong="H5375" itself any more above the nations|strong="H1471": for I will diminish|strong="H4591" them, that they shall no more rule|strong="H7287" over the nations|strong="H1471".

And it shall be no more the confidence|strong="H4009" of the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", which bringeth|strong="H2142" their iniquity|strong="H5771" to remembrance|strong="H2142", when they shall look|strong="H6437" after|strong="H0310" them: but they shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.

And it came to pass in the seven|strong="H7651" and twentieth|strong="H6242" year|strong="H8141", in the first|strong="H7223" month, in the first|strong="H0259" day of the month|strong="H2320", the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",

Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", Nebuchadrezzar|strong="H5019" king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894" caused|strong="H5647" his army|strong="H2428" to serve|strong="H5647" a great|strong="H1419" service|strong="H5656" against Tyrus|strong="H6865": every head|strong="H7218" was made bald|strong="H7139", and every shoulder|strong="H3802" was peeled|strong="H4803": yet had he no wages|strong="H7939", nor his army|strong="H2428", for Tyrus|strong="H6865", for the service|strong="H5656" that he had served|strong="H5647" against it:

Therefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I will give|strong="H5414" the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" unto Nebuchadrezzar|strong="H5019" king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894"; and he shall take|strong="H5375" her multitude|strong="H1995", and take|strong="H7997" her spoil|strong="H7998", and take|strong="H0962" her prey|strong="H0957"; and it shall be the wages|strong="H7939" for his army|strong="H2428".

I have given|strong="H5414" him the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" for his labour|strong="H6468" wherewith he served|strong="H5647" against it, because they wrought|strong="H6213" for me, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.

In that day|strong="H3117" will I cause|strong="H6779" the horn|strong="H7161" of the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" to bud forth|strong="H6779", and I will give|strong="H5414" thee the opening|strong="H6610" of the mouth|strong="H6310" in the midst|strong="H8432" of them; and they shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
