1 To every thing there is a season|strong="H2165", and a time|strong="H6256" to every purpose|strong="H2656" under the heaven|strong="H8064":
1 Tudo tem o seu tempo determinado, e há tempo para todo o propósito debaixo do céu:
2 A time|strong="H6256" to be born|strong="H3205", and a time|strong="H6256" to die|strong="H4191"; a time|strong="H6256" to plant|strong="H5193", and a time|strong="H6256" to pluck up|strong="H6131" that which is planted|strong="H5193";
2 há tempo de nascer e tempo de morrer; tempo de plantar e tempo de arrancar o que se plantou;
3 A time|strong="H6256" to kill|strong="H2026", and a time|strong="H6256" to heal|strong="H7495"; a time|strong="H6256" to break down|strong="H6555", and a time|strong="H6256" to build up|strong="H1129";
3 tempo de matar e tempo de curar; tempo de derribar e tempo de edificar;
4 A time|strong="H6256" to weep|strong="H1058", and a time|strong="H6256" to laugh|strong="H7832"; a time|strong="H6256" to mourn|strong="H5594", and a time|strong="H6256" to dance|strong="H7540";
4 tempo de chorar e tempo de rir; tempo de prantear e tempo de saltar;
5 A time|strong="H6256" to cast away|strong="H7993" stones|strong="H0068", and a time|strong="H6256" to gather|strong="H3664" stones|strong="H0068" together|strong="H3664"; a time|strong="H6256" to embrace|strong="H2263", and a time|strong="H6256" to refrain|strong="H7368" from embracing|strong="H2263";
5 tempo de espalhar pedras e tempo de ajuntar pedras; tempo de abraçar e tempo de afastar-se de abraçar;
6 A time|strong="H6256" to get|strong="H1245", and a time|strong="H6256" to lose|strong="H0006"; a time|strong="H6256" to keep|strong="H8104", and a time|strong="H6256" to cast away|strong="H7993";
6 tempo de buscar e tempo de perder; tempo de guardar e tempo de deitar fora;
7 A time|strong="H6256" to rend|strong="H7167", and a time|strong="H6256" to sew|strong="H8609"; a time|strong="H6256" to keep silence|strong="H2814", and a time|strong="H6256" to speak|strong="H1696";
7 tempo de rasgar e tempo de coser; tempo de estar calado e tempo de falar;
8 A time|strong="H6256" to love|strong="H0157", and a time|strong="H6256" to hate|strong="H8130"; a time|strong="H6256" of war|strong="H4421", and a time|strong="H6256" of peace|strong="H7965".
8 tempo de amar e tempo de aborrecer; tempo de guerra e tempo de paz.
9 What profit|strong="H3504" hath he that worketh|strong="H6213" in that wherein|strong="H0834" he laboureth|strong="H6001"?
9 Que vantagem tem o trabalhador naquilo em que trabalha?
10 I have seen|strong="H7200" the travail|strong="H6045", which God|strong="H0430" hath given|strong="H5414" to the sons|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120" to be exercised|strong="H6031" in it.
10 Tenho visto o trabalho que Deus deu aos filhos dos homens, para com ele os afligir.
11 He hath made|strong="H6213" every thing beautiful|strong="H3303" in his time|strong="H6256": also he hath set|strong="H5414" the world|strong="H5769" in their heart|strong="H3820", so that|strong="H1097" no man|strong="H0120" can find out|strong="H4672" the work|strong="H4639" that God|strong="H0430" maketh|strong="H6213" from the beginning|strong="H7218" to the end|strong="H5490".
11 Tudo fez formoso em seu tempo; também pôs o mundo no coração deles, sem que o homem possa descobrir a obra que Deus fez desde o princípio até ao fim.
12 I know|strong="H3045" that there is no good|strong="H2896" in them, but for a man to rejoice|strong="H8055", and to do|strong="H6213" good|strong="H2896" in his life|strong="H2416".
12 Já tenho conhecido que não há coisa melhor para eles do que se alegrarem e fazerem bem na sua vida;
13 And also that every man|strong="H0120" should eat|strong="H0398" and drink|strong="H8354", and enjoy|strong="H7200" the good|strong="H2896" of all his labour|strong="H5999", it is the gift|strong="H4991" of God|strong="H0430".
13 e também que todo homem coma e beba e goze do bem de todo o seu trabalho. Isso é um dom de Deus.
14 I know|strong="H3045" that, whatsoever God|strong="H0430" doeth|strong="H6213", it shall be for ever|strong="H5769": nothing|strong="H0369" can be put|strong="H3254" to it, nor any thing taken|strong="H1639" from it: and God|strong="H0430" doeth|strong="H6213" it, that men should fear|strong="H3372" before|strong="H6440" him.
14 Eu sei que tudo quanto Deus faz durará eternamente; nada se lhe deve acrescentar e nada se lhe deve tirar. E isso faz Deus para que haja temor diante dele.
15 That which hath been is now|strong="H3528"; and that which is to be hath already|strong="H3528" been; and God|strong="H0430" requireth|strong="H1245" that which is past|strong="H7291".
15 O que é já foi; e o que há de ser também já foi; e Deus pede conta do que passou.
16 And moreover I saw|strong="H7200" under the sun|strong="H8121" the place|strong="H4725" of judgment|strong="H4941", that wickedness|strong="H7562" was there; and the place|strong="H4725" of righteousness|strong="H6664", that iniquity|strong="H7562" was there.
16 Vi mais debaixo do sol: no lugar do juízo, impiedade; e no lugar da justiça, impiedade ainda.
17 I said|strong="H0559" in mine heart|strong="H3820", God|strong="H0430" shall judge|strong="H8199" the righteous|strong="H6662" and the wicked|strong="H7563": for there is a time|strong="H6256" there for every purpose|strong="H2656" and for every work|strong="H4639".
17 Eu disse no meu coração: Deus julgará o justo e o ímpio; porque há um tempo para todo intento e para toda obra.
18 I said|strong="H0559" in mine heart|strong="H3820" concerning the estate|strong="H1700" of the sons|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120", that God|strong="H0430" might manifest|strong="H1305" them, and that they might see|strong="H7200" that they|strong="H1992" themselves are beasts|strong="H0929".
18 Disse eu no meu coração: é por causa dos filhos dos homens, para que Deus possa prová-los, e eles possam ver que são em si mesmos como os animais.
19 For that which befalleth|strong="H4745" the sons|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120" befalleth|strong="H4745" beasts|strong="H0929"; even one thing|strong="H0259" befalleth|strong="H4745" them: as the one dieth|strong="H4194", so dieth|strong="H4194" the other|strong="H2088"; yea, they have all one|strong="H0259" breath|strong="H7307"; so that a man|strong="H0120" hath no preeminence|strong="H4195" above a beast|strong="H0929": for all is vanity|strong="H1892".
19 Porque o que sucede aos filhos dos homens, isso mesmo também sucede aos animais; a mesma coisa lhes sucede: como morre um, assim morre o outro, todos têm o mesmo fôlego; e a vantagem dos homens sobre os animais não é nenhuma, porque todos são vaidade.
20 All go|strong="H1980" unto one|strong="H0259" place|strong="H4725"; all are of the dust|strong="H6083", and all turn|strong="H7725" to dust|strong="H6083" again|strong="H7725".
20 Todos vão para um lugar; todos são pó e todos ao pó tornarão.
21 Who knoweth|strong="H3045" the spirit|strong="H7307" of man|strong="H1121" that goeth|strong="H5927" upward|strong="H4605", and the spirit|strong="H7307" of the beast|strong="H0929" that goeth|strong="H3381" downward|strong="H4295" to the earth|strong="H0776"?
21 Quem adverte que o fôlego dos filhos dos homens sobe para cima e que o fôlego dos animais desce para baixo da terra?
22 Wherefore I perceive|strong="H7200" that there is nothing better|strong="H2896", than that a man|strong="H0120" should rejoice|strong="H8055" in his own works|strong="H4639"; for that is his portion|strong="H2506": for who shall bring|strong="H0935" him to see|strong="H7200" what shall be after|strong="H0310" him?
22 Assim que tenho visto que não há coisa melhor do que alegrar-se o homem nas suas obras, porque essa é a sua porção; porque quem o fará voltar para ver o que será depois dele?
