At the end|strong="H7093" of every seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141" thou shalt make|strong="H6213" a release|strong="H8059".
And this is the manner|strong="H1697" of the release|strong="H8059": Every creditor|strong="H1167" that lendeth|strong="H5383" ought unto his neighbour|strong="H7453" shall release|strong="H8058" it; he shall not exact|strong="H5065" it of his neighbour|strong="H7453", or of his brother|strong="H0251"; because it is called|strong="H7121" the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* release|strong="H8059".
Of a foreigner|strong="H5237" thou mayest exact|strong="H5065" it again: but that which is thine with thy brother|strong="H0251" thine hand|strong="H3027" shall release|strong="H8058";
Save|strong="H0657" when there shall be no poor|strong="H0034" among you; for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall greatly|strong="H1288" bless|strong="H1288" thee in the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" thee for an inheritance|strong="H5159" to possess|strong="H3423" it:
Only if thou carefully|strong="H8085" hearken|strong="H8085" unto the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", to observe|strong="H8104" to do|strong="H6213" all these commandments|strong="H4687" which I command|strong="H6680" thee this day|strong="H3117".
For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" blesseth|strong="H1288" thee, as he promised|strong="H1696" thee: and thou shalt lend|strong="H5670" unto many|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471", but thou shalt not borrow|strong="H5670"; and thou shalt reign|strong="H4910" over many|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471", but they shall not reign|strong="H4910" over thee.
If there be among you a poor man|strong="H0034" of one|strong="H0259" of thy brethren|strong="H0251" within any|strong="H0259" of thy gates|strong="H8179" in thy land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" thee, thou shalt not harden|strong="H0553" thine heart|strong="H3824", nor shut|strong="H7092" thine hand|strong="H3027" from thy poor|strong="H0034" brother|strong="H0251":
But thou shalt open|strong="H6605" thine hand|strong="H3027" wide|strong="H6605" unto him, and shalt surely|strong="H5670" lend|strong="H5670" him sufficient|strong="H1767" for his need|strong="H4270", in that which he wanteth|strong="H2637".
Beware|strong="H8104" that there be not a thought|strong="H1697" in thy wicked|strong="H1100" heart|strong="H3824", saying|strong="H0559", The seventh|strong="H7651" year|strong="H8141", the year|strong="H8141" of release|strong="H8059", is at hand|strong="H7126"; and thine eye|strong="H5869" be evil|strong="H7489" against thy poor|strong="H0034" brother|strong="H0251", and thou givest|strong="H5414" him nought; and he cry|strong="H7121" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* against thee, and it be sin|strong="H2399" unto thee.
Thou shalt surely|strong="H5414" give|strong="H5414" him, and thine heart|strong="H3824" shall not be grieved|strong="H3415" when thou givest|strong="H5414" unto him: because|strong="H1558" that for this thing|strong="H1697" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall bless|strong="H1288" thee in all thy works|strong="H4639", and in all that thou puttest|strong="H4916" thine hand|strong="H3027" unto.
For the poor|strong="H0034" shall never cease|strong="H2308" out of|strong="H7130" the land|strong="H0776": therefore I command|strong="H6680" thee, saying|strong="H0559", Thou shalt open|strong="H6605" thine hand|strong="H3027" wide|strong="H6605" unto thy brother|strong="H0251", to thy poor|strong="H6041", and to thy needy|strong="H0034", in thy land|strong="H0776".
And if thy brother|strong="H0251", an Hebrew man|strong="H5680", or an Hebrew woman|strong="H5680", be sold|strong="H4376" unto thee, and serve|strong="H5647" thee six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141"; then in the seventh|strong="H7637" year|strong="H8141" thou shalt let him go|strong="H7971" free|strong="H2670" from thee.
And when thou sendest|strong="H7971" him out free|strong="H2670" from thee, thou shalt not let him go away|strong="H7971" empty|strong="H7387":
Thou shalt furnish|strong="H6059" him liberally|strong="H6059" out of thy flock|strong="H6629", and out of thy floor|strong="H1637", and out of thy winepress|strong="H3342": of that wherewith the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hath blessed|strong="H1288" thee thou shalt give|strong="H5414" unto him.
And thou shalt remember|strong="H2142" that thou wast a bondman|strong="H5650" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" redeemed|strong="H6299" thee: therefore I command|strong="H6680" thee this thing|strong="H1697" to day|strong="H3117".
And it shall be, if he say|strong="H0559" unto thee, I will not go away|strong="H3318" from thee; because he loveth|strong="H0157" thee and thine house|strong="H1004", because he is well|strong="H2895" with thee;
Then thou shalt take|strong="H3947" an aul|strong="H4836", and thrust|strong="H5414" it through his ear|strong="H0241" unto the door|strong="H1817", and he shall be thy servant|strong="H5650" for ever|strong="H5769". And also unto thy maidservant|strong="H0519" thou shalt do|strong="H6213" likewise.
It shall not seem hard|strong="H7185" unto thee|strong="H5869", when thou sendest him away|strong="H7971" free|strong="H2670" from thee; for he hath been worth|strong="H7939" a double|strong="H4932" hired servant|strong="H7916" to thee, in serving|strong="H5647" thee six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141": and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall bless|strong="H1288" thee in all that thou doest|strong="H6213".
All the firstling|strong="H1060" males|strong="H2145" that come|strong="H3205" of thy herd|strong="H1241" and of thy flock|strong="H6629" thou shalt sanctify|strong="H6942" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430": thou shalt do no work|strong="H5647" with the firstling|strong="H1060" of thy bullock|strong="H7794", nor shear|strong="H1494" the firstling|strong="H1060" of thy sheep|strong="H6629".
Thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" it before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" year|strong="H8141" by year|strong="H8141" in the place|strong="H4725" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall choose|strong="H0977", thou and thy household|strong="H1004".
And if there be any blemish|strong="H3971" therein, as if it be lame|strong="H6455", or blind|strong="H5787", or have any ill|strong="H7451" blemish|strong="H3971", thou shalt not sacrifice|strong="H2076" it unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430".
Thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" it within thy gates|strong="H8179": the unclean|strong="H2931" and the clean|strong="H2889" person shall eat it alike|strong="H3162", as the roebuck|strong="H6643", and as the hart|strong="H0354".
Only thou shalt not eat|strong="H0398" the blood|strong="H1818" thereof; thou shalt pour|strong="H8210" it upon the ground|strong="H0776" as water|strong="H4325".
