1 And|strong="G2532" I stood|strong="G2476" upon|strong="G1909" the sand|strong="G0285" of the sea|strong="G2281", and|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G1492" a beast|strong="G2342" rise up|strong="G0305" out of|strong="G1537" the sea|strong="G2281", having|strong="G2192" seven|strong="G2033" heads|strong="G2776" and|strong="G2532" ten|strong="G1176" horns|strong="G2768", and|strong="G2532" upon|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" horns|strong="G2768" ten|strong="G1176" crowns|strong="G1238", and|strong="G2532" upon|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" heads|strong="G2776" the name|strong="G3686" of blasphemy|strong="G0988".
2 And|strong="G2532" the beast|strong="G2342" which|strong="G3739" I saw|strong="G1492" was|strong="G2258" like unto|strong="G3664" a leopard|strong="G3917", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" feet|strong="G4228" were as|strong="G5613" the feet of a bear|strong="G0715", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" mouth|strong="G4750" as|strong="G5613" the mouth|strong="G4750" of a lion|strong="G3023": and|strong="G2532" the dragon|strong="G1404" gave|strong="G1325" him|strong="G0846" his|strong="G0846" power|strong="G1411", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" seat|strong="G2362", and|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173" authority|strong="G1849".
3 And|strong="G2532" I saw|strong="G1492" one|strong="G1520" of his|strong="G0846" heads|strong="G2776" as it were|strong="G5613" wounded|strong="G4969" to|strong="G1519" death|strong="G2288"; and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" deadly|strong="G2288" wound|strong="G4127" was healed|strong="G2323": and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3650" the world|strong="G1093" wondered|strong="G2296" after|strong="G3694" the beast|strong="G2342".
4 And|strong="G2532" they worshipped|strong="G4352" the dragon|strong="G1404" which|strong="G3739" gave|strong="G1325" power|strong="G1849" unto the beast|strong="G2342": and|strong="G2532" they worshipped|strong="G4352" the beast|strong="G2342", saying|strong="G3004", Who|strong="G5101" is like unto|strong="G3664" the beast|strong="G2342"? who|strong="G5101" is able|strong="G1410" to make war|strong="G4170" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846"?
5 And|strong="G2532" there was given|strong="G1325" unto him|strong="G0846" a mouth|strong="G4750" speaking|strong="G2980" great things|strong="G3173" and|strong="G2532" blasphemies|strong="G0988"; and|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1849" was given|strong="G1325" unto him|strong="G0846" to continue|strong="G4160" forty|strong="G5062" and two|strong="G1417" months|strong="G3376".
6 And|strong="G2532" he opened|strong="G0455" his|strong="G0846" mouth|strong="G4750" in|strong="G1519" blasphemy|strong="G0988" against|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316", to blaspheme|strong="G0987" his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" tabernacle|strong="G4633", and|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" that dwell|strong="G4637" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772".
7 And|strong="G2532" it was given|strong="G1325" unto him|strong="G0846" to make|strong="G4160" war|strong="G4171" with|strong="G3326" the saints|strong="G0040", and|strong="G2532" to overcome|strong="G3528" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1849" was given|strong="G1325" him|strong="G0846" over|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956" kindreds|strong="G5443", and|strong="G2532" tongues|strong="G1100", and|strong="G2532" nations|strong="G1484".
8 And|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" dwell|strong="G2730" upon|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093" shall worship|strong="G4352" him|strong="G0846", whose|strong="G3739" names|strong="G3686" are|strong="G1125" not|strong="G3756" written|strong="G1125" in|strong="G1722" the book|strong="G0976" of life|strong="G2222" of the Lamb|strong="G0721" slain|strong="G4969" from|strong="G0575" the foundation|strong="G2602" of the world|strong="G2889".
9 If|strong="G1487" any man|strong="G5100" have|strong="G2192" an ear|strong="G3775", let him hear|strong="G0191".
10 He|strong="G5100" that|strong="G1487" leadeth into|strong="G4863" captivity|strong="G0161" shall go|strong="G5217" into|strong="G1519" captivity|strong="G0161": he|strong="G5100" that|strong="G1487" killeth|strong="G0615" with|strong="G1722" the sword|strong="G3162" must|strong="G1163" be|strong="G0846" killed|strong="G0615" with|strong="G1722" the sword|strong="G3162". Here|strong="G5602" is|strong="G2076" the patience|strong="G5281" and|strong="G2532" the faith|strong="G4102" of the saints|strong="G0040".
11 And|strong="G2532" I beheld|strong="G1492" another|strong="G0243" beast|strong="G2342" coming up|strong="G0305" out of|strong="G1537" the earth|strong="G1093"; and|strong="G2532" he had|strong="G2192" two|strong="G1417" horns|strong="G2768" like|strong="G3664" a lamb|strong="G0721", and|strong="G2532" he spake|strong="G2980" as|strong="G5613" a dragon|strong="G1404".
12 And|strong="G2532" he exerciseth|strong="G4160" all|strong="G3956" the power|strong="G1849" of the first|strong="G4413" beast|strong="G2342" before|strong="G1799" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" causeth|strong="G4160" the earth|strong="G1093" and|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" which dwell|strong="G2730" therein|strong="G0846" to|strong="G2443" worship|strong="G4352" the first|strong="G4413" beast|strong="G2342", whose|strong="G3739" deadly|strong="G2288" wound|strong="G4127" was healed|strong="G2323".
13 And|strong="G2532" he doeth|strong="G4160" great|strong="G3173" wonders|strong="G4592", so|strong="G2443" that|strong="G2532" he maketh|strong="G4160" fire|strong="G4442" come down|strong="G2597" from|strong="G1537" heaven|strong="G3772" on|strong="G1519" the earth|strong="G1093" in the sight|strong="G1799" of men|strong="G0444",
14 And|strong="G2532" deceiveth|strong="G4105" them|strong="G3588" that dwell|strong="G2730" on|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093" by|strong="G1223" the means of those|strong="G3588" miracles|strong="G4592" which|strong="G3739" he|strong="G0846" had power|strong="G1325" to do|strong="G4160" in the sight of|strong="G1799" the beast|strong="G2342"; saying|strong="G3004" to them|strong="G3588" that dwell|strong="G2730" on|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093", that they should make|strong="G4160" an image|strong="G1504" to the beast|strong="G2342", which|strong="G3739" had|strong="G2192" the wound|strong="G4127" by a sword|strong="G3162", and|strong="G2532" did live|strong="G2198".
15 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" had power|strong="G1325" to give|strong="G1325" life|strong="G4151" unto the image|strong="G1504" of the beast|strong="G2342", that|strong="G2443" the image|strong="G1504" of the beast|strong="G2342" should|strong="G2980" both|strong="G2532" speak|strong="G2980", and|strong="G2532" cause|strong="G4160" that|strong="G2443" as many|strong="G3745" as|strong="G0302" would|strong="G4352" not|strong="G3361" worship|strong="G4352" the image|strong="G1504" of the beast|strong="G2342" should be killed|strong="G0615".
16 And|strong="G2532" he causeth|strong="G4160" all|strong="G3956", both|strong="G2532" small|strong="G3398" and|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173", rich|strong="G4145" and|strong="G2532" poor|strong="G4434", free|strong="G1658" and|strong="G2532" bond|strong="G1401", to|strong="G2443" receive|strong="G1325" a mark|strong="G5480" in|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" right|strong="G1188" hand|strong="G5495", or|strong="G2228" in|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" foreheads|strong="G3359":
17 And|strong="G2532" that|strong="G2443" no|strong="G3361" man|strong="G5100" might|strong="G1410" buy|strong="G0059" or|strong="G2228" sell|strong="G4453", save he|strong="G3361" that|strong="G1487" had|strong="G2192" the mark|strong="G5480", or|strong="G2228" the name|strong="G3686" of the beast|strong="G2342", or|strong="G2228" the number|strong="G0706" of his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686".
18 Here|strong="G5602" is|strong="G2076" wisdom|strong="G4678". Let him|strong="G3588" that hath|strong="G2192" understanding|strong="G3563" count|strong="G5585" the number|strong="G0706" of the beast|strong="G2342": for|strong="G1063" it is|strong="G2076" the number|strong="G0706" of a man|strong="G0444"; and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" number|strong="G0706" is Six hundred threescore|strong="G5516" and six|strong="G5516".
