2 That|strong="G1519" ye|strong="G5209" be|strong="G4531" not|strong="G3361" soon|strong="G5030" shaken|strong="G4531" in|strong="G0575" mind|strong="G3563", or|strong="G3383" be troubled|strong="G2360", neither|strong="G3383" by|strong="G1223" spirit|strong="G4151", nor|strong="G3383" by|strong="G1223" word|strong="G3056", nor|strong="G3383" by|strong="G1223" letter|strong="G1992" as|strong="G5613" from|strong="G1223" us|strong="G2257", as|strong="G5613" that|strong="G3754" the day|strong="G2250" of Christ|strong="G5547" is at hand|strong="G1764".
3 Let|strong="G1818" no|strong="G3361" man|strong="G5100" deceive|strong="G1818" you|strong="G5209" by|strong="G2596" any|strong="G3367" means|strong="G5158": for|strong="G3754" that day shall not come, except|strong="G1437" there come|strong="G2064" a falling away|strong="G0646" first|strong="G4412", and|strong="G2532" that man|strong="G0444" of sin|strong="G0266" be revealed|strong="G0601", the son|strong="G5207" of perdition|strong="G0684";
4 Who opposeth|strong="G0480" and|strong="G2532" exalteth himself|strong="G5229" above|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956" that is called|strong="G3004" God|strong="G2316", or|strong="G2228" that is worshipped|strong="G4574"; so that|strong="G5620" he|strong="G0846" as|strong="G5613" God|strong="G2316" sitteth|strong="G2523" in|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G3485" of God|strong="G2316", shewing|strong="G0584" himself|strong="G1438" that|strong="G3754" he is|strong="G2076" God|strong="G2316".
5 Remember ye|strong="G3421" not|strong="G3756", that|strong="G3754", when I was|strong="G5607" yet|strong="G2089" with|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209", I told|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5213" these things|strong="G5023"?
6 And|strong="G2532" now|strong="G3568" ye know|strong="G1492" what withholdeth|strong="G2722" that|strong="G1519" he|strong="G0846" might be revealed|strong="G0601" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1438" time|strong="G2540".
7 For|strong="G1063" the mystery|strong="G3466" of iniquity|strong="G0458" doth|strong="G1754" already|strong="G2235" work|strong="G1754": only|strong="G3440" he who|strong="G2722" now|strong="G0737" letteth|strong="G2722" will let, until|strong="G2193" he be taken|strong="G1096" out of|strong="G1537" the way|strong="G3319".
8 And|strong="G2532" then|strong="G5119" shall|strong="G0601" that Wicked|strong="G0459" be revealed|strong="G0601", whom|strong="G3739" the Lord|strong="G2962" shall consume|strong="G0355" with the spirit|strong="G4151" of his|strong="G0846" mouth|strong="G4750", and|strong="G2532" shall destroy|strong="G2673" with the brightness|strong="G2015" of his|strong="G0846" coming|strong="G3952":
9 Even him, whose|strong="G3739" coming|strong="G3952" is|strong="G2076" after|strong="G2596" the working|strong="G1753" of Satan|strong="G4567" with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" power|strong="G1411" and|strong="G2532" signs|strong="G4592" and|strong="G2532" lying|strong="G5579" wonders|strong="G5059",
10 And|strong="G2532" with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" deceivableness|strong="G0539" of unrighteousness|strong="G0093" in|strong="G1722" them that perish|strong="G0622"; because|strong="G0473" they received|strong="G1209" not|strong="G3756" the love|strong="G0026" of the truth|strong="G0225", that|strong="G1519" they|strong="G0846" might be saved|strong="G4982".
11 And|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1223" this|strong="G5124" cause|strong="G1223" God|strong="G2316" shall send|strong="G3992" them|strong="G0846" strong|strong="G1753" delusion|strong="G4106", that|strong="G1519" they|strong="G0846" should believe|strong="G4100" a lie|strong="G5579":
12 That|strong="G2443" they|strong="G2919" all|strong="G3956" might be damned|strong="G2919" who believed|strong="G4100" not|strong="G3361" the truth|strong="G0225", but|strong="G0235" had pleasure|strong="G2106" in|strong="G1722" unrighteousness|strong="G0093".
13 But|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" are bound|strong="G3784" to give thanks|strong="G2168" alway|strong="G3842" to God|strong="G2316" for|strong="G4012" you|strong="G5216", brethren|strong="G0080" beloved|strong="G0025" of|strong="G5259" the Lord|strong="G2962", because|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" hath|strong="G0138" from|strong="G0575" the beginning|strong="G0746" chosen|strong="G0138" you|strong="G5209" to|strong="G1519" salvation|strong="G4991" through|strong="G1722" sanctification|strong="G0038" of the Spirit|strong="G4151" and|strong="G2532" belief|strong="G4102" of the truth|strong="G0225":
14 Whereunto|strong="G1519" he called|strong="G2564" you|strong="G5209" by|strong="G1223" our|strong="G2257" gospel|strong="G2098", to|strong="G1519" the obtaining|strong="G4047" of the glory|strong="G1391" of our|strong="G2257" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
15 Therefore|strong="G3767", brethren|strong="G0080", stand fast|strong="G4739", and|strong="G2532" hold|strong="G2902" the traditions|strong="G3862" which|strong="G3739" ye have been taught|strong="G1321", whether|strong="G1535" by|strong="G1223" word|strong="G3056", or|strong="G1535" our|strong="G2257" epistle|strong="G1992".
