1 Furthermore|strong="G3063" then|strong="G3767" we beseech|strong="G2065" you|strong="G5209", brethren|strong="G0080", and|strong="G2532" exhort|strong="G3870" you by|strong="G1722" the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424", that as|strong="G2531" ye have received|strong="G3880" of|strong="G3844" us|strong="G2257" how|strong="G4459" ye|strong="G5209" ought|strong="G1163" to walk|strong="G4043" and|strong="G2532" to please|strong="G0700" God|strong="G2316", \+w so|strong="G2443"\+w* ye would abound|strong="G4052" more and more|strong="G3123".
2 For|strong="G1063" ye know|strong="G1492" what|strong="G5101" commandments|strong="G3852" we gave|strong="G1325" you|strong="G5213" by|strong="G1223" the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424".
3 For|strong="G1063" this|strong="G5124" is|strong="G2076" the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316", even your|strong="G5216" sanctification|strong="G0038", that|strong="G0567" ye|strong="G5209" should abstain|strong="G0567" from|strong="G0575" fornication|strong="G4202":
4 That|strong="G1492" every one|strong="G1538" of you|strong="G5216" should know how|strong="G1492" to possess|strong="G2932" his|strong="G1438" vessel|strong="G4632" in|strong="G1722" sanctification|strong="G0038" and|strong="G2532" honour|strong="G5092";
5 Not|strong="G3361" in|strong="G1722" the lust|strong="G3806" of concupiscence|strong="G1939", even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G2509" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" which|strong="G3588" know|strong="G1492" not|strong="G3361" God|strong="G2316":
6 That|strong="G3588" no|strong="G3361" man go beyond|strong="G5233" and|strong="G2532" defraud|strong="G4122" his|strong="G0846" brother|strong="G0080" in|strong="G1722" any matter|strong="G4229": because that|strong="G1360" the Lord|strong="G2962" is the avenger|strong="G1558" of|strong="G4012" all|strong="G3956" such|strong="G5130", as|strong="G2531" we|strong="G4277" also|strong="G2532" have forewarned|strong="G4277" you|strong="G5213" and|strong="G2532" testified|strong="G1263".
7 For|strong="G1063" God|strong="G2316" hath|strong="G2564" not|strong="G3756" called|strong="G2564" us|strong="G2248" unto|strong="G1909" uncleanness|strong="G0167", but|strong="G0235" unto|strong="G1722" holiness|strong="G0038".
8 He|strong="G0114" therefore|strong="G5105" that despiseth|strong="G0114", despiseth|strong="G0114" not|strong="G3756" man|strong="G0444", but|strong="G0235" God|strong="G2316", who|strong="G3588" hath|strong="G1325" also|strong="G2532" given|strong="G1325" unto|strong="G1519" us|strong="G2248" his|strong="G0846" holy|strong="G0040" Spirit|strong="G4151".
9 But|strong="G1161" as touching|strong="G4012" brotherly love|strong="G5360" ye need|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" that I write|strong="G1125" unto you|strong="G5213": for|strong="G1063" ye|strong="G5210" yourselves|strong="G0846" are|strong="G2075" taught of God|strong="G2312" to|strong="G1519" love|strong="G0025" one another|strong="G0240".
10 And|strong="G2532" indeed|strong="G1063" ye do|strong="G4160" it|strong="G0846" toward|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" the brethren|strong="G0080" which|strong="G3588" are in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3650" Macedonia|strong="G3109": but|strong="G1161" we beseech|strong="G3870" you|strong="G5209", brethren|strong="G0080", that ye increase|strong="G4052" more and more|strong="G3123";
11 And|strong="G2532" that ye study|strong="G5389" to be quiet|strong="G2270", and|strong="G2532" to do|strong="G4238" your own business|strong="G2398", and|strong="G2532" to work|strong="G2038" with|strong="G2398" your|strong="G5216" own|strong="G2398" hands|strong="G5495", as|strong="G2531" we commanded|strong="G3853" you|strong="G5213";
12 That|strong="G2443" ye may walk|strong="G4043" honestly|strong="G2156" toward|strong="G4314" them that are|strong="G3588" without|strong="G1854", and|strong="G2532" that ye may have|strong="G2192" lack|strong="G5532" of nothing|strong="G3367".
13 But|strong="G1161" I would|strong="G2309" not|strong="G3756" have|strong="G2309" you|strong="G5209" to be ignorant|strong="G0050", brethren|strong="G0080", concerning|strong="G4012" them which are asleep|strong="G2837", that|strong="G2443" ye sorrow|strong="G3076" not|strong="G3361", even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G2531" others|strong="G3062" which have|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3361" hope|strong="G1680".
14 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" we believe|strong="G4100" that|strong="G3754" Jesus|strong="G2424" died|strong="G0599" and|strong="G2532" rose again|strong="G0450", even so|strong="G3779" them|strong="G3588" also|strong="G2532" which sleep|strong="G2837" in|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" will|strong="G0071" God|strong="G2316" bring|strong="G0071" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846".
15 For|strong="G1063" this|strong="G5124" we say|strong="G3004" unto you|strong="G5213" by|strong="G1722" the word|strong="G3056" of the Lord|strong="G2962", that|strong="G3754" we|strong="G2249" which are alive|strong="G2198" and remain|strong="G4035" unto|strong="G1519" the coming|strong="G3952" of the Lord|strong="G2962" shall|strong="G5348" not|strong="G3361" prevent|strong="G5348" them which are asleep|strong="G2837".
16 For|strong="G3754" the Lord|strong="G2962" himself|strong="G0846" shall descend|strong="G2597" from|strong="G0575" heaven|strong="G3772" with|strong="G1722" a shout|strong="G2752", with|strong="G1722" the voice|strong="G5456" of the archangel|strong="G0743", and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G1722" the trump|strong="G4536" of God|strong="G2316": and|strong="G2532" the dead|strong="G3498" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" shall rise|strong="G0450" first|strong="G4412":
17 Then|strong="G1899" we|strong="G2249" which are alive|strong="G2198" and remain|strong="G4035" shall be caught up|strong="G0726" together|strong="G0260" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the clouds|strong="G3507", to|strong="G1519" meet|strong="G0529" the Lord|strong="G2962" in|strong="G1519" the air|strong="G0109": and|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" shall we|strong="G2071" ever|strong="G3842" be|strong="G2071" with|strong="G4862" the Lord|strong="G2962".
18 Wherefore|strong="G5620" comfort|strong="G3870" one another|strong="G0240" with|strong="G1722" these|strong="G5125" words|strong="G3056".
