1 Pedro 2
2 Ye pye paa piyɛngɛlɛ yɛn: Yɛnŋɛlɛ sɛnrɛ nda ti yɛn paa nɔnɔ jɛnŋɛ yɛn, ti la mbaa ye taa paa yɛgɛ ŋga na yinriwɛ la ki ma piyɛnlɛ li ta we, jaŋgo ye kaa wɔ ye lɛ ye shɔwɔ pi ta pew.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Katugu yɛgɛ ŋga na we Fɔ wi yɛn ma yɔn, yège jɛn makɔ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Ye fulo we Fɔ wi tanla, wo ŋa wi yɛn sinndɛlɛgɛ yinwege wogo. Leele pàa je ki na, ɛɛn fɔ, Yɛnŋɛlɛ lìgi wɔ, a kì pye sɔnŋgbanga wogo li yɛgɛ na.
4 — ausente —
5 Yoro fun ye fulo wi tanla ye pye paa sinndɛɛrɛ yinwege woro yɛn. Pe ye tɛgɛ pe Yinnɛkpoyi li yuŋgbɔgɔ ki kan, jaŋgo ye pye saraga wɔfɛnnɛkpoyi, mbaa Yinnɛkpoyi saara woo Yɛnŋɛlɛ li yeri Zhezu Kirisi wi fanŋga na, to ti yɛn ma Yɛnŋɛlɛ li ndanla.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kì pye ma, Yɛnŋɛlɛ sɛnrɛ sɛwɛ wi yɛn na ŋga yuun ki ŋga fɔ:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ki kala na, ki sinndɛlɛgɛ ki yɛn sɔnŋgbanga wogo yoro tagafɛnnɛ ye kan. Ɛɛn fɔ, mbele pee taga ki na, ki yɛn ma yɔnlɔgɔ wa Yɛnŋɛlɛ sɛnrɛ sɛwɛ wi ni ma yo fɔ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Kì yo naa wa Yɛnŋɛlɛ sɛnrɛ sɛwɛ wi ni laga ka na ma yo fɔ:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ɛɛn fɔ, yoro wo na, ye yɛn cɛnlɛ na Yɛnŋɛlɛ lì wɔ, ma pye Wunlunaŋa wi saraga wɔfɛnnɛ; ye yɛn cɛnlɛ na li yɛn kpoyi ma pye Yɛnŋɛlɛ li woolo. Lì ye go shɔ, jaŋgo yaa li kagbɔgɔlɔ ke yari. Lo lì ye yeri ye yiri wa wɔwɔ pi ni ye ye wa li yanwa gbɔɔ pi ni.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Faa ye sila pye Yɛnŋɛlɛ li woolo, ɛɛn fɔ koni, ye yɛn li woolo. Faa Yɛnŋɛlɛ li sila ye yinriwɛ ta, ɛɛn fɔ koni, lì ye yinriwɛ ta.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Na wɛnnɛ, ye yɛn nambanmbala ma pye cɛnfɛnnɛ laga tara ti na, ki kala na, mila ye yɛnri fɔ: Ye ye yɛɛ yingiwɛ jɛn wire ti jogo kagala ke ni, ke maa malaga gbɔɔn ye yinŋgele ke ni.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Yaa tanri tangalɔmɔ jɛmbɛ na mbele pee shɛri pe sɔgɔwɔ, kiga pye ma, ali na pe kaa ye mɛpege yinri mbe yo ye yɛn kapege pyefɛnnɛ, pa pe yaa ka ye kapyere jɛndɛ nda yaa piin ti yan mbe Yɛnŋɛlɛ li gbɔgɔ ti kala na, na liga ka pan pilige ŋga ni we.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Leele mbele pe yɛn fanŋga fɛnnɛ, yaa pe fanŋga ki ni fuun ki gbogo we Fɔ wi kala na. Yaa wunlumbolo to wi gbogo, wo ŋa wi yɛn ma cɛn fanŋga fɛnnɛ pe go na we.
13 — ausente —
14 Yaa gboforonɛriye pe gbogo, poro mbele wunlumbolo to wì tun pe saa kapere pyefɛnnɛ pe jɔlɔ paa kajɛŋgɛ pyefɛnnɛ pe sɔnni we.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Ŋga Yɛnŋɛlɛ li yɛn na jaa koyi ŋga fɔ leele mbele pe yɛn kambajɛnmbɛlɛ ma pye lembire, ye pe yɔnrɔ ti tɔn pe na ye kajɛŋgɛ ŋga yaa piin ki ni.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Yaa tanri paa leseele yɛn, konaa ki ni fuun, yaga ka ye lesewe pi lɛ mbaa kapege ki piin larawa. Ɛɛn fɔ, yaa tanri paa Yɛnŋɛlɛ li tunmbyeele yɛn.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Yaa leele pe ni fuun pe gbogo, ye tagafɛnnɛ yɛɛnlɛ pe ye ndanla. Yaa fyɛ Yɛnŋɛlɛ li yɛgɛ, yaa wunlumbolo to wi gbogo.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Yoro tunmbyeele wele, yaa ye teele pe sɛnrɛ ti nuru yaa pe gbogo jɛŋgɛ. Teele mbele pe yɛn jɛmbɛlɛ ma pye kotoyinŋge ni, yaga kaa poro nuŋgba gbogo, ɛɛn fɔ, ali mbele pe yɛn nambewe fɛnnɛ fun o;
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 katugu jɔlɔgɔ ŋga kii daga lere wi jɔlɔ, na wi kaa ki jɔlɔ mbege kun wi yɛɛ ni Yɛnŋɛlɛ li yɛgɛ fyɛrɛ ti kala na, ki wogo ki yɛn ma yɔn.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Na paga ye gbɔn ye kapere pyege kala na, a yege kun ye yɛɛ ni, yiŋgi sɔnmɔ ye yaa ta wa ki wogo ki ni? Ɛɛn fɔ, na ye kaa jɔlɔ ye kajɛŋgɛ pyege ki kala na, a yege kun ye yɛɛ ni, ki wogo ki yɛn ma yɔn Yɛnŋɛlɛ li yɛgɛ na.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ko mɛgɛ kì ti Yɛnŋɛlɛ lì ye yeri, katugu Kirisi wo jate wì jɔlɔ ye kala na maga yɛgɛ naga ye na, jaŋgo yaa tanri wa wi tuuro ti ni.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Wi sila kapege kpɛ pye, yagbogowo sɛnrɛ kpɛ sila yiri wa wi yɔn.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Naa pàa wi tɛgɛlɛ, wi sila ki tɛgɛlɛ li sɔngɔrɔ pe na. Naa pàa wi jɔlɔ, wi sila sɛnŋgbanra yo mbe wa pe na, ɛɛn fɔ, wìla wi yɛɛ le Yɛnŋɛlɛ li kɛɛ, lo na li maa kiti sinŋɛ kɔɔn we.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kirisi wo jate wì we kapere ti lɛ wi wire ti ni wa \+w tiparaga\+w* ki na,
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Yàa pye paa simbaala yɛn, mbele pè puŋgo na yanri faa. Ɛɛn fɔ koni, yè sɔngɔrɔ ma pan Kirisi ŋa wi yɛn ye yinŋgele ke kɔnrifɔ konaa ke welefɔ wi kɔrɔgɔ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
