1 For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains:
1 O Senhor Deus construiu a sua cidade sobre o
2 The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.
3 Ó cidade de Deus, escute estas coisas maravilhosas que ele diz a seu respeito:
4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.
4 “Quando eu fizer a lista das nações que me obedecem, vou pôr nela o nome do Egito e da Babilônia. Os povos da Filisteia, de Tiro e da Etiópia eu tratarei como se eles tivessem nascido em Jerusalém.”
5 Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.
5 A respeito de Jerusalém as pessoas dirão que todos os povos são dali e que o Deus Altíssimo a tornará uma cidade forte.
6 The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.
6 O Senhor escreverá uma lista dos povos, e nela todos eles serão cidadãos de Jerusalém.
7 The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.
7 Os que moram ali vão dançar e cantar, dizendo: “A fonte da nossa felicidade, ó Jerusalém, está em você.”
