1 Ao Músico-chefe sobre Neginote, Masquil, Salmo de Davi, quando os zifeus vieram e disseram a Saul: Davi não seesconde conosco? Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e julga-me pela tua força.
2 When the men of Ziph had come and said to Saul: Is not David hidden with us?
2 Ouve a minha oração, ó Deus; dá ouvido às palavras da minha boca.
3 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy strength.
3 Pois estrangeiros se levantam contra mim, e opressores buscam a minha alma; eles não puseram Deus diante de si. Selá.
4 O God, hear my prayer: give ear to the words of my mouth.
4 Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador; o Senhor é com aqueles que apoiam a minha alma.
5 For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.
5 Ele recompensará o mal aos meus inimigos; cortai-os fora na tua verdade.
6 For behold God is my helper: and the Lord is the protector of my soul.
6 De livre vontade eu sacrificarei a ti; eu louvarei o teu nome, ó SENHOR, pois isso é bom.
7 Turn back the evils upon my enemies; and cut them off in thy truth.
7 Pois ele me livrou de todo o meu problema, e os meus olhos viram o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos.
8 I will freely sacrifice to thee, and will give praise, O God, to thy name: because it is good:
