¹ On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein.

¹ Salmo de Davi. Do Senhor é a terra e tudo o que ela contém, a órbita terrestre e todos os que nela habitam,

² For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers.

² pois ele mesmo a assentou sobre as águas do mar e sobre as águas dos rios a consolidou.

³ Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?

³ Quem será digno de subir ao monte do Senhor? Ou de permanecer no seu lugar santo?

⁴ The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour.

⁴ O que tem as mãos limpas e o coração puro, cujo espírito não busca as vaidades nem perjura para enganar seu próximo.

⁵ He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

⁵ Este terá a bênção do Senhor, e a recompensa de Deus, seu Salvador.

⁶ This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob.

⁷ Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

⁷ Levantai, ó portas, os vossos dintéis! Levantai-vos, ó pórticos antigos, para que entre o Rei da glória!

⁸ Who is this King of Glory? the Lord who is strong and mighty: the Lord mighty in battle.

⁸ Quem é este Rei da glória? É o Senhor forte e poderoso, o Senhor poderoso na batalha.

⁹ Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

⁹ Levantai, ó portas, os vossos dintéis! Levantai-vos, ó pórticos antigos, para que entre o Rei da glória!

¹⁰ Who is this King of Glory? the Lord of hosts, he is the King of Glory.
