1 I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord.
1 A ti, que habitas nos céus, elevo os olhos!
2 Our feet were standing in thy courts, O Jerusalem.
2 Como os olhos dos servos estão atentos às mãos dos seus senhores, e os olhos da serva, à mão de sua senhora, assim os nossos olhos estão atentos ao até que tenha compaixão de nós.
3 Jerusalem, which is built as a city, which is compact together.
3 Tem compaixão de nós, Senhor , tem compaixão, pois estamos saturados de tanto desprezo.
4 For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord.
4 A nossa alma está saturada da zombaria dos arrogantes e do desprezo dos soberbos.
5 Because their seats have sat in judgment, seats upon the house of David.
