¹ Louvai ao Senhor ! Louvai, servos do Senhor , louvai o nome do Senhor .

² Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

² Seja bendito o nome do Senhor , desde agora e para sempre.

³ From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

³ Desde o nascimento do sol até ao ocaso, seja louvado o nome do Senhor .

⁴ The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.

⁴ Exaltado está o Senhor , acima de todas as nações, e a sua glória, sobre os céus.

⁵ Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:

⁵ Quem é como o Senhor , nosso Deus, que habita nas alturas;

⁶ and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

⁶ que se curva para ver o que está nos céus e na terra;

⁷ Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill::

⁷ que do pó levanta o pequeno e, do monturo, ergue o necessitado,

⁸ That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

⁸ para o fazer assentar com os príncipes, sim, com os príncipes do seu povo;

⁹ Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

⁹ que faz com que a mulher estéril habite em família e seja alegre mãe de filhos? Louvai ao Senhor !
