¹ Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.

¹ Louvai ao Senhor. Bem-aventurado o homem que teme ao Senhor, que em seus mandamentos tem grande prazer!

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

² A sua descendência será poderosa na terra; a geração dos retos será abençoada.

³ Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.

³ Bens e riquezas há na sua casa; e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.

⁴ To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just.

⁴ Aos retos nasce luz nas trevas; ele é compassivo, misericordioso e justo.

⁵ Acceptable is the man that showeth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment:

⁵ Ditoso é o homem que se compadece, e empresta, que conduz os seus negócios com justiça;

⁶ because he shall not be moved for ever.

⁶ pois ele nunca será abalado; o justo ficará em memória eterna.

⁷ The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not hear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord:

⁷ Ele não teme más notícias; o seu coração está firme, confiando no Senhor.

⁸ his heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.

⁸ O seu coração está bem firmado, ele não terá medo, até que veja cumprido o seu desejo sobre os seus adversários.

⁹ He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory.

⁹ Espalhou, deu aos necessitados; a sua justiça subsiste para sempre; o seu poder será exaltado em honra.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁰ O ímpio vê isto e se enraivece; range os dentes e se consome; o desejo dos ímpios perecerá.
