1 The sons of Juda: Phares, Hesron, and Charmi, and Hur, and Sobal.
1 Os filhos de Judá: Perez, Hezrom, e Carmi, e Hur, e Sobal.
2 And Raia the son of Sobal beget Jahath, of whom were born Ahumai, and Laad. These are the families of Sarathi.
2 E Reaías, o filho de Sobal, gerou Jaate; e Jaate gerou Aumai e Laade. Estas são as famílias dos zoratitas.
3 And this is the posterity of Etam: Jezrahel, and Jesema, and Jedebos: and the name of their sister was Asalelphuni.
3 E estes foram do pai de Etã: Jezreel, e Isma, e Idbas; e o nome da sua irmã era Hazelelponi;
4 And Phanuel the father of Gedor, and Ezar the father of Hosa, these are the sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephratha the father of Bethlehem.
4 e Penuel, pai de Gedor; e Eser, pai de Husá. Estes foram os filhos de Hur, o primogênito de Efrata, o pai de Belém.
5 And Assur the father of Thecua had two wives, Halaa and Naara:
5 E Asur, o pai de Tecoa, tinha duas esposas: Hela e Naara.
6 And Naara bore him Ozam, and Hepher, and Themani, and Ahasthari: these are the sons of Naara.
6 E Naara deu à luz Auzão, e Héfer, e Temeni, e Haastari. Estes foram os filhos de Naara.
7 And the sons of Halaa, Sereth, Isaar, and Ethnan.
7 E os filhos de Hela foram: Zerete, e Isar e Etnã.
8 And Cos begot Anob, and Soboba, the kindred of Aharehel the son of Arum.
8 E Coz gerou Anube, e Zobeba, e as famílias de Aarel, o filho de Harum.
9 And Jabes was more honourable than any of his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabes, saying: Because I bore him with sorrow.
9 E Jabez foi mais honrado do que os seus irmãos; e sua mãe chamou o seu nome Jabez, dizendo: Porque eu dei à luz com dores.
10 And Jabes called upon the God of Israel, saying: If blessing thou wilt bless me, and wilt enlarge my borders, and thy hand be with me, and thou save me from being oppressed by evil. And God granted him the things he prayed for.
10 E Jabez invocou o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Se com a bênção me abençoares, e alargares minhas fronteiras, seja tua mão comigo e me guardes do mal, de modo que ele não me aflija! E Deus lhe concedeu aquilo que ele solicitou.
11 And Caleb the brother of Sua beget Mahir, who was the father of Esthon.
11 E Quelube, o irmão de Suá, gerou Meir, o qual foi o pai de Estom.
12 And Esthon beget Bethrapha, and Phesse, and Tehinna father of the city of Naas: these are the men of Recha.
12 E Estom gerou Bete-Rafa, e Pasea, e Teína, o pai de Ir-Naás. Estes são os homens de Reca.
13 And the sons of Cenez were Othoniel,. and Saraia. And the sons of Othoniel, Hathath, and Maonathi.
13 E os filhos de Quenaz: Otniel e Seraías; e o filho de Otniel: Hatate.
14 Maonathi beget Ophra, and Saraia begot Joab the father of the Valley of artificers: for artificers were there.
14 E Meonotai gerou Ofra, e Seraías gerou Joabe, pai do vale dos Carasins; porque eles eram artesãos.
15 And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephone, were Hir, and Ela, and Naham. And the sons of Ela: Cenez.
15 E os filhos de Calebe, o filho de Jefoné; Iru, Elá e Naã; e o filho de Elá: foi Quenaz.
16 The sons also of Jaleleel: Ziph, and Zipha, Thiria, and Asrael.
16 E os filhos de Jealelel: Zife, e Zifa, e Tiria, e Asareel.
17 And the sons of Esra, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon, and he beget Mariam, and Sammai, and Jesba the father of Esthamo.
17 E os filhos de Ezra foram: Jéter, e Merede, e Efer, e Jalom; e ela deu à luz Miriã, e Samai, e Isbá, o pai de Estemoa.
18 And his wife Judaia, bore Jared the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Icuthiel the father of Zanoe. And these are the sons of Bethia the daughter of Pharao, whom Mered took to wife.
18 E a sua esposa Judia deu à luz Jerede, o pai de Gedor, e Héber, o pai de Socó, e Jecutiel, o pai de Zanoa. E estes são os filhos de Bitia, a filha de Faraó, a qual Merede tomou.
19 And the sons of his wife Odaia the sister of Naham the father of Celia, Garmi, and Esthamo, who was of Machathi.
19 E os filhos da sua esposa Hodias, a irmã de Naã; o pai de Queila, o garmita, e Estemoa, o maacatita.
20 The sons also of Simon, Amnon, and Rinna the son of Hanan, and Thilon. And the sons of Jesi Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
20 E os filhos de Simeão foram: Amnom, e Rina, e Ben-Hanã, e Tilom. E os filhos de Isi foram: Zoete e Ben-Zoete.
21 The sons of h Sela the son of Juda: Her the father of Lecha, and Laada the father of Maresa, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen in the House of oath.
21 Os filhos de Selá, o filho de Judá foram: Er, o pai de Leca, e Lada, o pai de Maressa, e as famílias da casa daqueles que trabalhavam com linho fino, da casa de Asbeia,
22 And he that made the sun to stand, and the men of Lying, and Secure, and Burning, who were princes in Moab, and who returned into Lahem. Now these are things of old.
22 e Joquim, e os homens de Cozeba, e de Joás, e Sarafe, que tinham o domínio em Moabe, e Jasubi-Leém. E estas são coisas antigas.
23 These are the potters, and they dwelt in Plantations, and Hedges, with the king for his works, and they abode there.

24 The sons of Simeon: Namuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zara, Saul:
24 Os filhos de Simeão foram: Nemuel, Jamim, Jaribe, Zerá, e Saul;
25 Sellum his son, Mapsam his son, Masma his son.
25 Salum, seu filho; Mibsão, seu filho; Misma, seu filho.
26 The sons of Masma: Hamuel his son, Zachur his son, Semei his son.
26 E os filhos de Misma: Hamuel, seu filho; Zacur, seu filho; Simei, seu filho.
27 The sons of Semei were sixteen, and six daughters: but his brethren had not many sons, and the whole kindred could not reach to the sum of the children of Juda.
27 E Simei tinha dezesseis filhos e seis filhas; mas os seus irmãos não tiveram muitos filhos, nem se multiplicou toda a família deles, como os filhos de Judá.
28 And they dwelt in Bersabee, and Molada, and Hasarsuhal,
28 E eles habitaram em Berseba, e Molada, e Hazar-Sual,
29 And in Bala, and in Asom, and in Tholad,
29 e em Bila, e em Ezém, e em Tolade,
30 And in Bathuel, and in Horma, and in Siceleg,
30 e em Betuel, e em Horma, e em Ziclague,
31 And in Bethmarchaboth, and in Hasarsusim, and in Bethberai, and in Saarim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.
31 e em Bete-Marcabote, e Hazar-Susim, e em Bete-Biri, e em Saaraim. Estas foram as suas cidades até o reinado de Davi.
32 Their towns also were Etam, and Aen, Remmon, and Thochen, and Asan, five cities.
32 E as suas aldeias eram: Etã, e Aim, Rimom, e Toquém, e Asã; cinco cidades,
33 And all their villages round about these cities as far as Baal. This was their habitation, and the distribution of their dwellings.
33 e todas as suas aldeias que estavam ao redor destas cidades, até Baal. Estas foram as suas habitações, e a sua genealogia.
34 And Mosabab and Jemlech, and Josa, the son of Amasias,
34 E Mesobabe, e Janleque, e Josa, o filho de Amazias,
35 And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josabia the son of Saraia, the son of Asiel,
35 e Joel, e Jeú, o filho de Josibias, o filho de Seraías, o filho de Asiel,
36 And Elioenai, and Jacoba, and Isuhaia, and Asaia, and Adiel, and Ismiel, and Banaia,
36 e Elioenai e Jaacobá, e Jesoaías, e Asaías, e Adiel, e Jesimiel, e Benaia,
37 Ziza also the son of Sephei the son of Allon the son of Idaia the son of Semri the son of Samaia.
37 e Ziza, o filho de Sifi, o filho de Alom, o filho de Jedaías, o filho de Sinri, o filho de Semaías;
38 These were named princes in their kindreds, and in the houses of their families were multiplied exceedingly.
38 estes mencionados pelos seus nomes foram príncipes nas suas famílias; e a casa dos seus pais aumentou muitíssimo.
39 And they went forth to enter into Gador as far as to the east side of the valley, to seek pastures for their flocks.
39 E eles foram para a entrada de Gedor, a saber, para o lado leste do vale, para procurar pasto para os seus rebanhos.
40 And they found fat pastures, and very good, and a country spacious, and quiet, and fruitful, in which some of the race of Cham had dwelt before.
40 E eles encontraram pasto abundante e bom, e a terra era ampla, e tranquila, e pacífica; porque os de Cam haviam habitado ali desde a antiguidade.
41 And these whose names are written above, came in the days of Ezechias king of Juda: and they beat down their tents, and slew the inhabitants that were found there, and utterly destroyed them unto this day: and they dwelt in their place, because they found there fat pastures.
41 Estes, que estão escritos por seus nomes, vieram nos dias de Ezequias, rei de Judá, e feriram as suas tendas, e as habitações que ali foram achadas, e as destruíram completamente até este dia, e habitaram nos seus lugares; porque havia ali pasto para os seus rebanhos.
42 Some also of the children of Simeon, five hundred men, went into mount Seir, having for their captains Phaltias and Naaria and Raphaia and Oziel the sons of Jesi:
42 E alguns deles, a saber, dos filhos de Simeão, quinhentos homens foram ao monte Seir, tendo como seus capitães: Pelatias, e Nearias, e Refaías, e Uziel, os filhos de Isi.
43 And they slew the remnant of the Amalecites, who had been able to escape, and they dwelt there in their stead unto this day.
43 E feriram o restante dos amalequitas que haviam escapado, e ali habitaram até este dia.
