1 Jehovah reigneth: let the earth be glad, let the many isles rejoice.
1 O Senhor reina! Exulte a terra e alegrem-se as regiões costeiras distantes.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.
2 Nuvens escuras e espessas o cercam; retidão e justiça são a base do seu trono.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his adversaries round about.
3 Fogo vai adiante dele e devora os adversários ao redor.
4 His lightnings lightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
4 Seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo; a terra os vê e estremece.
5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
5 Os montes se derretem como cera diante do Senhor, diante do Soberano de toda a terra.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
6 Os céus proclamam a sua justiça, e todos os povos contemplam a sua glória.
7 Ashamed be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols. Worship him, all ye gods.
7 Ficam decepcionados todos os que adoram imagens e se vangloriam de ídolos. Prostram-se diante dele todos os deuses!
8 Zion heard, and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judah were glad, because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.
8 Sião ouve e se alegra, e as cidades de Judá exultam, por causa das tuas sentenças, Senhor.
9 For thou, Jehovah, art the Most High above all the earth; thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.
9 Pois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra! És exaltado muito acima de todos os deuses!
10 Ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints, he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
10 Odeiem o mal, vocês que amam o Senhor, pois ele protege a vida dos seus fiéis e os livra das mãos dos ímpios.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
11 A luz nasce sobre o justo e a alegria sobre os retos de coração.
12 Rejoice in Jehovah, ye righteous; and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.
12 Alegrem-se no Senhor, justos, louvem o seu santo nome.
