1 [A Psalm of David.] Jehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
1 Salmo de Davi. Senhor, clamei a ti; apressa-te a mim; dá ouvidos à minha voz quando clamo a ti.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.
2 Que a minha oração seja colocada diante de ti como incenso; e o levantar das minhas mãos como o sacrifício da tarde.
3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
3 Põe um vigia, ó SENHOR, diante da minha boca; guarda a porta dos meus lábios.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 Não inclines meu coração para nenhuma coisa má, para praticar obras perversas com homens que trabalham a iniquidade; e não deixes que eu coma das suas iguarias.
5 Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is {for them} in their calamities.
5 Que o justo me castigue; isso será uma bondade; e me reprove; isso será um excelente óleo, que não quebrará minha cabeça, pois ainda assim, a minha oração também estará em suas calamidades.
6 When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
6 Quando seus juízes forem derrubados em lugares pedregosos, eles ouvirão as minhas palavras, pois elas são doces.
7 Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth {wood} upon the earth.
7 Nossos ossos são espalhados à boca do túmulo, como quando alguém corta e fende a madeira sobre a terra.
8 For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.
8 Mas os meus olhos estão sobre ti, ó DEUS, o Senhor; em ti está a minha confiança; não deixes minha alma desamparada.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.
9 Guarda-me dos laços que eles puseram para mim, e das armadilhas dos trabalhadores da iniquidade.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that *I* withal pass over.
10 Que os perversos caiam em suas próprias redes, enquanto que eu, ao mesmo tempo, escape.
