1 [A Song of degrees.] Jehovah, remember for David all his affliction;
1 Ó Senhor Deus, lembra de Davi e de todos os seus sofrimentos.
2 How he swore unto Jehovah, vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
2 Lembra da promessa feita por Davi, lembra deste juramento que ele fez a ti, o
3 I will not come into the tent of my house, I will not go up to the couch of my bed;
3 “Eu não vou para casa, nem vou descansar;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, slumber to mine eyelids,
4 não vou me deitar, nem dormir
5 Until I find out a place for Jehovah, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob. ...
5 enquanto não encontrar um lugar para o uma casa para o Poderoso de Jacó.”
6 Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
6 Em Belém ouvimos falar a respeito da e nós a encontramos nos campos de Jearim.
7 Let us go into his habitations, let us worship at his footstool.
7 Então dissemos: “Vamos à casa de Deus, o vamos adorá-lo diante do seu trono.”
8 Arise, Jehovah, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength.
8 Ó Senhor , vem para o teu Templo, com a arca da aliança, que representa o teu poder, e fica ali para sempre!
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, and let thy saints shout for joy.
9 Que os teus sacerdotes façam sempre o que é certo! Que os teus gritem de alegria!
10 For thy servant David's sake, turn not away the face of thine anointed.
10 Ó Senhor Deus, fizeste uma promessa ao teu servo Davi; portanto, não rejeites o rei que escolheste.
11 Jehovah hath sworn {in} truth unto David; he will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne;
11 Tu não voltarás atrás neste juramento que fizeste a Davi: “Farei com que um dos seus filhos seja rei, e ele reinará depois de você.
12 If thy children keep my covenant, and my testimonies which I will teach them, their children also for evermore shall sit upon thy throne.
12 Se os filhos de você forem fiéis à minha aliança e aos mandamentos que lhes dei, também os filhos deles sempre serão reis.”
13 For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his dwelling:
13 O Senhor Deus escolheu o monte Sião ; ele quis que a sua casa fosse ali e disse:
14 This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.
14 “Aqui viverei para sempre; é aqui que eu quero reinar.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy ones with bread;
15 Darei de tudo com fartura a Jerusalém, darei muito alimento aos seus pobres.
16 And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
16 Abençoarei tudo o que os seus sacerdotes fizerem, e o seu povo cantará e gritará de alegria.
17 There will I cause the horn of David to bud forth; I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
17 Aqui farei com que um descendente de Davi seja rei poderoso e farei com que sempre sejam reis os descendentes desse rei escolhido.
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
18 Farei com que os seus inimigos fiquem cobertos de vergonha, mas ele usará uma coroa que vai brilhar cada vez mais.”
