Neemias 9
Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 And on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.
1 No dia vinte e quatro deste mês, se ajuntaram os filhos de Israel com jejum e pano de saco e traziam terra sobre si.
2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
2 Os da linhagem de Israel se apartaram de todos os estranhos, puseram-se em pé e fizeram confissão dos seus pecados e das iniquidades de seus pais.
3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of Jehovah their God a fourth part of the day; and a fourth part they confessed, and worshipped Jehovah their God.
3 Levantando-se no seu lugar, leram no Livro da Lei do Senhor , seu Deus, uma quarta parte do dia; em outra quarta parte dele fizeram confissão e adoraram o Senhor , seu Deus.
4 Then stood up upon the platform of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, Chenani, and cried with a loud voice to Jehovah their God.
4 Jesua, Bani, Cadmiel, Sebanias, Buni, Serebias, Bani e Quenani se puseram em pé no estrado dos levitas e clamaram em alta voz ao Senhor , seu Deus.
5 And the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, Pethahiah, said, Stand up, bless Jehovah your God from eternity to eternity. And let {men} bless the name of thy glory, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
5 Os levitas Jesua, Cadmiel, Bani, Hasabneias, Serebias, Hodias, Sebanias e Petaías disseram: Levantai-vos, bendizei ao Senhor , vosso Deus, de eternidade em eternidade. Então, se disse: Bendito seja o nome da tua glória, que ultrapassa todo bendizer e louvor.
6 Thou art the Same, thou alone, Jehovah, who hast made the heaven of heavens, and all their host, the earth and all that is therein, the seas and all that is therein. And thou quickenest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
6 Só tu és Senhor , tu fizeste o céu, o céu dos céus e todo o seu exército, a terra e tudo quanto nela há, os mares e tudo quanto há neles; e tu os preservas a todos com vida, e o exército dos céus te adora.
7 Thou art the Same, Jehovah Elohim, who didst choose Abram and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
7 Tu és o Senhor , o Deus que elegeste Abrão, e o tiraste de Ur dos caldeus, e lhe puseste por nome Abraão.
8 and foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest the covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, -to give it to his seed; and thou hast performed thy words, for thou art righteous.
8 Achaste o seu coração fiel perante ti e com ele fizeste aliança, para dares à sua descendência a terra dos cananeus, dos heteus, dos amorreus, dos ferezeus, dos jebuseus e dos girgaseus; e cumpriste as tuas promessas, porquanto és justo.
9 And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea;
9 Viste a aflição de nossos pais no Egito, e lhes ouviste o clamor junto ao mar Vermelho.
10 and didst shew signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants, and upon all the people of his land; for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them, and thou didst make thee a name, as it is this day.
10 Fizeste sinais e milagres contra Faraó e seus servos e contra todo o povo da sua terra, porque soubeste que os trataram com soberba; e, assim, adquiriste renome, como hoje se vê.
11 And thou didst divide the sea before them, and they went through the midst of the sea on dry {ground}; and their pursuers thou threwest into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.
11 Dividiste o mar perante eles, de maneira que o atravessaram em seco; lançaste os seus perseguidores nas profundezas, como uma pedra nas águas impetuosas.
12 And thou leddest them in the day by a pillar of cloud, and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
12 Guiaste-os, de dia, por uma coluna de nuvem e, de noite, por uma coluna de fogo, para lhes alumiar o caminho por onde haviam de ir.
13 And thou camest down on mount Sinai, and didst speak with them from the heavens, and gavest them right judgments and true laws, good statutes and commandments.
13 Desceste sobre o monte Sinai, do céu falaste com eles e lhes deste juízos retos, leis verdadeiras, estatutos e mandamentos bons.
14 And thou madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and prescribedst for them commandments and statutes and a law, through Moses thy servant.
14 O teu santo sábado lhes fizeste conhecer; preceitos, estatutos e lei, por intermédio de Moisés, teu servo, lhes mandaste.
15 And thou gavest them bread from the heavens for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and didst say to them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
15 Pão dos céus lhes deste na sua fome e água da rocha lhes fizeste brotar na sua sede; e lhes disseste que entrassem para possuírem a terra que, com mão levantada, lhes juraste dar.
16 But they, our fathers, dealt proudly, and hardened their neck, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
16 Porém eles, nossos pais, se houveram soberbamente, e endureceram a sua cerviz, e não deram ouvidos aos teus mandamentos.
17 and refused to obey, neither were they mindful of thy wonders which thou hadst done among them; but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion made a captain to return to their bondage. But thou art a +God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great loving-kindness, and thou forsookest them not.
17 Recusaram ouvir-te e não se lembraram das tuas maravilhas, que lhes fizeste; endureceram a sua cerviz e na sua rebelião levantaram um chefe, com o propósito de voltarem para a sua servidão no Egito. Porém tu, ó Deus perdoador, clemente e misericordioso, tardio em irar-te e grande em bondade, tu não os desamparaste,
18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy god that brought thee up out of Egypt! and they had wrought great provocation,
18 ainda mesmo quando fizeram para si um bezerro de fundição e disseram: Este é o teu Deus, que te tirou do Egito; e cometeram grandes blasfêmias.
19 yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud departed not from over them by day, to lead them on the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.
19 Todavia, tu, pela multidão das tuas misericórdias, não os deixaste no deserto. A coluna de nuvem nunca se apartou deles de dia, para os guiar pelo caminho, nem a coluna de fogo de noite, para lhes alumiar o caminho por onde haviam de ir.
20 Thou gavest also thy good Spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.
20 E lhes concedeste o teu bom Espírito, para os ensinar; não lhes negaste para a boca o teu maná; e água lhes deste na sua sede.
21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing; their clothes grew not old, and their feet swelled not.
21 Desse modo os sustentaste quarenta anos no deserto, e nada lhes faltou; as suas vestes não envelheceram, e os seus pés não se incharam.
22 And thou gavest them kingdoms and peoples, and didst divide them by countries; and they possessed the land of Sihon, as well the land of the king of Heshbon, as the land of Og king of Bashan.
22 Também lhes deste reinos e povos, que lhes repartiste em porções; assim, possuíram a terra de Seom, a saber, a terra do rei de Hesbom e a terra de Ogue, rei de Basã.
23 And their children thou didst multiply as the stars of heaven, and thou broughtest them into the land concerning which thou didst say to their fathers that they should go in to possess it.
23 Multiplicaste os seus filhos como as estrelas do céu e trouxeste-os à terra de que tinhas dito a seus pais que nela entrariam para a possuírem.
24 And the children went in and possessed the land; and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, both their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would.
24 Entraram os filhos e tomaram posse da terra; abateste perante eles os moradores da terra, os cananeus, e lhos entregaste nas mãos, como também os reis e os povos da terra, para fazerem deles segundo a sua vontade.
25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all good things, wells digged, vineyards and olive-gardens, and fruit trees in abundance. And they did eat and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
25 Tomaram cidades fortificadas e terra fértil e possuíram casas cheias de toda sorte de coisas boas, cisternas cavadas, vinhas e olivais e árvores frutíferas em abundância; comeram, e se fartaram, e engordaram, e viveram em delícias, pela tua grande bondade.
26 But they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets who testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
26 Ainda assim foram desobedientes e se revoltaram contra ti; viraram as costas à tua lei e mataram os teus profetas, que protestavam contra eles, para os fazerem voltar a ti; e cometeram grandes blasfêmias.
27 And thou gavest them into the hand of their oppressors, and they oppressed them; and in the time of their distress, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from the heavens, and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their oppressors.
27 Pelo que os entregaste nas mãos dos seus opressores, que os angustiaram; mas no tempo de sua angústia, clamando eles a ti, dos céus tu os ouviste; e, segundo a tua grande misericórdia, lhes deste libertadores que os salvaram das mãos dos que os oprimiam.
28 But when they had rest, they did evil again before thee; and thou didst leave them in the hand of their enemies, and they had dominion over them; and again they cried unto thee, and thou heardest {them} from the heavens, and many times didst thou deliver them, according to thy mercies.
28 Porém, quando se viam em descanso, tornavam a fazer o mal diante de ti; e tu os desamparavas nas mãos dos seus inimigos, para que dominassem sobre eles; mas, convertendo-se eles e clamando a ti, tu os ouviste dos céus e, segundo a tua misericórdia, os livraste muitas vezes.
29 And thou testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law; but they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thine ordinances (which if a man do, he shall live in them); and they withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
29 Testemunhaste contra eles, para que voltassem à tua lei; porém eles se houveram soberbamente e não deram ouvidos aos teus mandamentos, mas pecaram contra os teus juízos, pelo cumprimento dos quais o homem viverá; obstinadamente deram de ombros, endureceram a cerviz e não quiseram ouvir.
30 And many years didst thou forbear with them, and testifiedst against them by thy Spirit through thy prophets; but they would not give ear: and thou gavest them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.
30 No entanto, os aturaste por muitos anos e testemunhaste contra eles pelo teu Espírito, por intermédio dos teus profetas; porém eles não deram ouvidos; pelo que os entregaste nas mãos dos povos de outras terras.
31 Nevertheless for thy manifold mercies' sake, thou didst not make a full end of them nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful *God.
31 Mas, pela tua grande misericórdia, não acabaste com eles nem os desamparaste; porque tu és Deus clemente e misericordioso.
32 And now, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible *God, who keepest covenant and loving-kindness, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the days of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
32 Agora, pois, ó Deus nosso, ó Deus grande, poderoso e temível, que guardas a aliança e a misericórdia, não menosprezes toda a aflição que nos sobreveio, a nós, aos nossos reis, aos nossos príncipes, aos nossos sacerdotes, aos nossos profetas, aos nossos pais e a todo o teu povo, desde os dias dos reis da Assíria até ao dia de hoje.
33 But thou art just in all that is come upon us; for thou hast acted according to truth, and we have done wickedly.
33 Porque tu és justo em tudo quanto tem vindo sobre nós; pois tu fielmente procedeste, e nós, perversamente.
34 And our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers, have not performed thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.
34 Os nossos reis, os nossos príncipes, os nossos sacerdotes e os nossos pais não guardaram a tua lei, nem deram ouvidos aos teus mandamentos e aos teus testemunhos, que testificaste contra eles.
35 And they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land that thou didst set before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
35 Pois eles no seu reino, na muita abundância de bens que lhes deste, na terra espaçosa e fértil que puseste diante deles não te serviram, nem se converteram de suas más obras.
36 Behold, we are servants this day, and the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are bondmen in it.
36 Eis que hoje somos servos; e até na terra que deste a nossos pais, para comerem o seu fruto e o seu bem, eis que somos servos nela.
37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: and they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure; and we are in great distress.
37 Seus abundantes produtos são para os reis que puseste sobre nós por causa dos nossos pecados; e, segundo a sua vontade, dominam sobre o nosso corpo e sobre o nosso gado; estamos em grande angústia.
38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, our Levites, {and} our priests are at the sealing.
38 Por causa de tudo isso, estabelecemos aliança fiel e o escrevemos; e selaram-na os nossos príncipes, os nossos levitas e os nossos sacerdotes.
