Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARC
1 And Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying,
1 Falou mais o Senhor a Josué, dizendo:
2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint for yourselves the cities of refuge, whereof I spoke unto you through Moses,
2 Fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Apartai para vós as cidades de refúgio, de que vos falei pelo ministério de Moisés;
3 that the slayer who unwittingly without intent smiteth any one mortally may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.
3 para que fuja para ali o homicida que matar alguma pessoa por erro e não com intento; para que vos sejam refúgio do vingador do sangue.
4 And he shall flee unto one of those cities and stand at the entrance of the city-gate, and shall declare his matter in the ears of the elders of that city; and they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.
4 E, fugindo para alguma daquelas cidades, pôr-se-á à porta da cidade e proporá as suas palavras perante os ouvidos dos anciãos da tal cidade; então, tomarão consigo na cidade e lhe darão lugar, para que habite com eles.
5 And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; for he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not previously.
5 E, se o vingador do sangue o seguir, não entregarão na sua mão o homicida; porquanto não feriu a seu próximo com intento e o não aborrecia dantes.
6 And he shall dwell in that city, until he have stood before the assembly in judgment, until the death of the high-priest that shall be in those days; then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.
6 E habitará na mesma cidade, até que se ponha a juízo perante a congregação, até que morra o sumo sacerdote que houver naqueles dias; então, o homicida voltará e virá à sua cidade e à sua casa, à cidade de onde fugiu.
7 And they hallowed Kedesh in Galilee in the hill-country of Naphtali, and Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Kirjath-Arba, that is, Hebron, in the hill-country of Judah.
7 Então, apartaram Quedes, na Galileia, na montanha de Naftali, e Siquém, na montanha de Efraim, e Quiriate-Arba (esta é Hebrom), na montanha de Judá.
8 And beyond the Jordan from Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness, in the plateau, out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan of the tribe of Manasseh.
8 E, dalém do Jordão, de Jericó para o oriente, apartaram Bezer, no deserto, na campina da tribo de Rúben, e Ramote, em Gileade, da tribo de Gade; e Golã, em Basã, da tribo de Manassés.
9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever smiteth any one mortally without intent might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the assembly.
9 Estas são as cidades que foram designadas para todos os filhos de Israel e para o estrangeiro que andasse entre eles; para que se acolhesse a elas todo aquele que ferisse alguma pessoa por erro; para que não morresse às mãos do vingador do sangue, até se pôr diante da congregação.
