Isaías 2

1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
1 Palavra que, em visão, veio a Isaías, filho de Amoz, a respeito de Judá e Jerusalém.
2 And it shall come to pass in the end of days, {that} the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it.
2 Nos últimos dias, acontecerá que o monte da Casa do Senhor será estabelecido no cimo dos montes e se elevará sobre os outeiros, e para ele afluirão todos os povos.
3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah's word from Jerusalem.
3 Irão muitas nações e dirão: Vinde, e subamos ao monte do Senhor e à casa do Deus de Jacó, para que nos ensine os seus caminhos, e andemos pelas suas veredas; porque de Sião sairá a lei, e a palavra do Senhor , de Jerusalém.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 Ele julgará entre os povos e corrigirá muitas nações; estas converterão as suas espadas em relhas de arados e suas lanças, em podadeiras; uma nação não levantará a espada contra outra nação, nem aprenderão mais a guerra.
5 House of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.
5 Vinde, ó casa de Jacó, e andemos na luz do Senhor .
6 For thou hast cast off thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled {with what comes} from the east, and use auguries like the Philistines, and ally themselves with the children of foreigners.
6 Pois, tu, Senhor , desamparaste o teu povo, a casa de Jacó, porque os seus se encheram da corrupção do Oriente e são agoureiros como os filisteus e se associam com os filhos dos estranhos.
7 And their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end of their treasures: their land also is full of horses, and there is no end of their chariots.
7 A sua terra está cheia de prata e de ouro, e não têm conta os seus tesouros; também está cheia de cavalos, e os seus carros não têm fim.
8 And their land is full of idols; they bow themselves down to the work of their own hands, to that which their fingers have made.
8 Também está cheia a sua terra de ídolos; adoram a obra das suas mãos, aquilo que os seus próprios dedos fizeram.
9 And the mean man shall be bowed down, and the great man shall be brought low: and do not thou forgive them!
9 Com isso, a gente se abate, e o homem se avilta; portanto, não lhes perdoarás.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty.
10 Vai, entra nas rochas e esconde-te no pó, ante o terror do Senhor e a glória da sua majestade.
11 The lofty eyes of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.
11 Os olhos altivos dos homens serão abatidos, e a sua altivez será humilhada; só o Senhor será exaltado naquele dia.
12 For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon everything proud and lofty, and upon everything lifted up, and it shall be brought low;
12 Porque o Dia do Senhor dos Exércitos será contra todo soberbo e altivo e contra todo aquele que se exalta, para que seja abatido;
13 and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;
13 contra todos os cedros do Líbano, altos, mui elevados; e contra todos os carvalhos de Basã;
14 and upon all the lofty mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;
14 contra todos os montes altos e contra todos os outeiros elevados;
15 and upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall;
15 contra toda torre alta e contra toda muralha firme;
16 and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant works of art.
16 contra todos os navios de Társis e contra tudo o que é belo à vista.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day:
17 A arrogância do homem será abatida, e a sua altivez será humilhada; só o Senhor será exaltado naquele dia.
18 and the idols shall utterly pass away.
18 Os ídolos serão de todo destruídos.
19 And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
19 Então, os homens se meterão nas cavernas das rochas e nos buracos da terra, ante o terror do Senhor e a glória da sua majestade, quando ele se levantar para espantar a terra.
20 In that day men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made {each} for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
20 Naquele dia, os homens lançarão às toupeiras e aos morcegos os seus ídolos de prata e os seus ídolos de ouro, que fizeram para ante eles se prostrarem,
21 to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the cliffs, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
21 e meter-se-ão pelas fendas das rochas e pelas cavernas das penhas, ante o terror do Senhor e a glória da sua majestade, quando ele se levantar para espantar a terra.
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for what account is to be made of him?
22 Afastai-vos, pois, do homem cujo fôlego está no seu nariz. Pois em que é ele estimado?
