1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt are moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt melteth in the midst of it.
1 A carga do Egito. Eis que o SENHOR monta sobre uma rápida nuvem e adentrará o Egito. E os ídolos do Egito serão estremecidos à sua presença, e o coração do Egito se derreterá no meio dele.
2 And I will incite the Egyptians against the Egyptians; and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
2 E eu disporei os egípcios contra os egípcios, e eles lutarão cada um contra seu irmão e cada um contra seu vizinho; cidade contra cidade e reino contra reino.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it, and I will destroy the counsel thereof; and they shall seek unto the idols and unto the conjurers, and unto the necromancers, and unto the soothsayers.
3 E o espírito dos egípcios esvaecerá no meio daquele lugar, e eu destruirei o conselho deles. E buscarão aos ídolos, e aos encantadores, e aqueles que têm espíritos familiares, e aos magos.
4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord, and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
4 E os egípcios eu abandonarei na mão de um senhor cruel, e um violento rei os governará, diz o Senhor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up;
5 E as águas do mar secarão, e o rio se esgotará e secará.
6 and the rivers shall stink, and the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and drain away: the reeds and sedges shall wither.
6 E eles mudarão a direção de rios distantes e os riachos de defesa serão esvaziados, e serão secos. Os papiros e os juncos murcharão.
7 The meadows by the Nile, on the banks of the Nile, and everything sown by the Nile, shall be dried up, be driven away, and be no {more}.
7 Os papiros junto aos riachos, junto à foz dos riachos, e toda coisa semeada perto dos riachos murcharão, não subsistirão, e não existirão mais.
8 And the fishers shall mourn, and all they that cast fish-hook into the Nile shall lament, and they that spread net upon the waters shall languish.
8 Os pescadores também prantearão, e todos aqueles que pescam com anzol e linha nos riachos lamentarão, e os que lançam redes sobre as águas desfalecerão.
9 And they that work in fine flax, and they that weave white stuffs shall be ashamed.
9 Além disso, os que trabalham em linho fino e os que tecem com teares estarão confundidos.
10 And her pillars shall be broken in pieces, and all workers for hire shall be sad of soul.
10 E eles estarão falidos nesses intentos, todos os que escavam canais e tanques para peixe.
11 They are but fools, the princes of Zoan, the wise counsellors of Pharaoh: {their} counsel is become senseless. How say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
11 Certamente os príncipes de Zoã são tolos. O conselho dos sábios conselheiros de Faraó torna-se estúpido. Como vós dizeis a Faraó: Eu sou o filho do sábio e filho de reis antigos?
12 Where are they then, thy wise {men}? Let them now tell thee, and let them make known what Jehovah of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
12 Onde estão eles? Onde estão teus homens sábios? E deixe-os te contar, agora, e deixe-os saber o que o SENHOR dos Exércitos decidiu a respeito do Egito.
13 The princes of Zoan are become foolish, the princes of Noph are deceived; and the corner-stones of its tribes have caused Egypt to err.
13 Os príncipes de Zoã são feitos tolos, os príncipes de Nofe estão enganados. Eles também têm enganado o Egito, até os que são a pedra angular das tribos daquele lugar.
14 Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst thereof; and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunkard staggereth in his vomit.
14 O SENHOR tem infundido um espírito perverso no meio deles. E eles têm feito o Egito errar em toda obra ali realizada, como um homem bêbado cambaleando em seu vômito.
15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.
15 Nem haverá qualquer obra para o Egito, que a cabeça ou a cauda, o ramo ou o caule, possa fazer.
16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women; and it shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
16 E, naquele dia, o Egito será como mulheres, e estarão atemorizados, e temerá por causa do agitar da mão do SENHOR dos Exércitos, a qual ele agita sobre ele.
17 And the land of Judah shall be a dismay unto Egypt: every one that thinketh of it shall be afraid for himself, because of the counsel of Jehovah of hosts, which he hath purposed against it.
17 E a terra de Judá será um terror para o Egito, todo aquele que faz menção dali estará temoroso dentro de si, por causa do plano de ação do SENHOR dos Exércitos, o qual ele determinou contra ele.
18 In that day shall there be five cities in the land of Egypt speaking the language of Canaan, and swearing by Jehovah of hosts: one shall be called, The city of Heres.
18 Naquele dia cinco cidades na terra do Egito falarão a língua de Canaã, e jurarão ao SENHOR dos Exércitos. Uma será chamada: A cidade da destruição.
19 In that day shall there be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to Jehovah:
19 Naquele dia haverá um altar ao SENHOR no meio da terra do Egito, e uma coluna na fronteira daquele lugar ao SENHOR.
20 and it shall be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of the oppressors, and he will send them a saviour and defender, who shall deliver them.
20 E isso será por um sinal, e por uma testemunha ao SENHOR dos Exércitos na terra do Egito, porquanto eles clamarão ao SENHOR por causa dos opressores, e ele enviará a eles um salvador, e um grande, e ele os libertará.
21 And Jehovah shall be known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day, and shall serve with sacrifice and oblation; and they shall vow a vow unto Jehovah, and perform it.
21 E o SENHOR se dará a conhecer ao Egito, e os egípcios conhecerão ao SENHOR naquele dia, e farão sacrifício e oblação, sim, eles consagrarão um voto ao SENHOR e cumprirão o mesmo.
22 And Jehovah will smite Egypt; he will smite and heal: and they shall return to Jehovah, and he will be entreated of them, and will heal them.
22 E o SENHOR golpeará o Egito. Ele golpeará e o sarará. E eles retornarão, para o SENHOR, e ele receberá as súplicas deles, e os curará.
23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria; and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and Egypt shall serve with Assyria.
23 Naquele dia haverá uma estrada do Egito à Assíria, e os assírios adentrarão o Egito e os egípcios à Assíria, e os egípcios servirão com os assírios.
24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;
24 Naquele dia, Israel será o terceiro com o Egito e a Assíria, uma bênção no meio da terra:
25 whom Jehovah of hosts will bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance!
25 a quem o SENHOR dos Exércitos abençoará, dizendo: Abençoado seja o Egito, meu povo, e Assíria, a obra de minhas mãos, e Israel, minha herança.
