Isaías 17
Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from {being} a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
1 Sentença contra Damasco. Eis que Damasco deixará de ser cidade e será um montão de ruínas.
2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks; and they shall lie down and there shall be none to make them afraid.
2 As cidades de Aroer serão abandonadas; hão de ser para os rebanhos, que aí se deitarão sem haver quem os espante.
3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith Jehovah of hosts.
3 A fortaleza de Efraim desaparecerá, como também o reino de Damasco e o restante da Síria; serão como a glória dos filhos de Israel, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean.
4 Naquele dia, a glória de Jacó será apoucada, e a gordura da sua carne desaparecerá.
5 And it shall be as when the reaper gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; yea, it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
5 Será, quando o segador ajunta a cana do trigo e com o braço sega as espigas, como quem colhe espigas, como quem colhe espigas no vale dos Refains.
6 And a gleaning shall be left in it, as at the shaking of an olive-tree: two, three berries above, in the tree-top; four, five in its fruitful boughs, saith Jehovah, the God of Israel.
6 Mas ainda ficarão alguns rabiscos, como no sacudir da oliveira; duas ou três azeitonas na ponta do ramo mais alto, e quatro ou cinco nos ramos mais exteriores de uma árvore frutífera, diz o Senhor , Deus de Israel.
7 In that day shall man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have regard to the Holy One of Israel.
7 Naquele dia, olhará o homem para o seu Criador, e os seus olhos atentarão para o Santo de Israel.
8 And he will not look to the altars, the work of his hands, nor have regard to what his fingers have made, neither the Asherahs nor the sun-images.
8 E não olhará para os altares, obra das suas mãos, nem atentará para o que fizeram seus dedos, nem para os postes-ídolos, nem para os altares do incenso.
9 In that day shall his strong cities be as the forsaken tract in the woodland, and the mountain-top which they forsook before the children of Israel; and there shall be desolation.
9 Naquele dia, serão as suas cidades fortes como os lugares abandonados no bosque ou sobre o cimo das montanhas, os quais outrora foram abandonados ante os filhos de Israel, e haverá assolação;
10 For thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength; therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plantations, and shalt set them with foreign slips:
10 porquanto te esqueceste do Deus da tua salvação e não te lembraste da Rocha da tua fortaleza. Ainda que faças plantações formosas e plantes mudas de fora,
11 in the day of thy planting wilt thou make {them} to grow, and on the morrow wilt thou make thy seed to flourish; {but} the harvest will flee in the day of taking possession, and the sorrow will be incurable.
11 e, no dia em que as plantares, as fizeres crescer, e na manhã seguinte as fizeres florescer, ainda assim a colheita voará no dia da tribulação e das dores incuráveis.
12 Ha! a tumult of many peoples! they make a noise as the noise of the seas; -and the rushing of nations! they rush as the rushing of mighty waters.
12 Ai do bramido dos grandes povos que bramam como bramam os mares, e do rugido das nações que rugem como rugem as impetuosas águas!
13 The nations rush as the rushing of many waters; but he will rebuke them, and they shall flee far away, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a whirling {of dust} before the whirlwind:
13 Rugirão as nações, como rugem as muitas águas, mas Deus as repreenderá, e fugirão para longe; serão afugentadas como a palha dos montes diante do vento e como pó levado pelo tufão.
14 behold, at eventide, trouble; before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
14 Ao anoitecer, eis que há pavor, e, antes que amanheça o dia, já não existem. Este é o quinhão daqueles que nos despojam e a sorte daqueles que nos saqueiam.
