Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 After these things king Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
1 Depois destas coisas, o rei Assuero engrandeceu a Hamã, filho de Hamedata, agagita, e o exaltou, e lhe pôs o trono acima de todos os príncipes que estavam com ele.
2 And all the king's servants that were in the king's gate bowed and did Haman reverence, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did {him} reverence.
2 Todos os servos do rei, que estavam à porta do rei, se inclinavam e se prostravam perante Hamã; porque assim tinha ordenado o rei a respeito dele. Mordecai, porém, não se inclinava, nem se prostrava.
3 Then the king's servants, who were in the king's gate, said to Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment?
3 Então, os servos do rei, que estavam à porta do rei, disseram a Mordecai: Por que transgrides as ordens do rei?
4 And it came to pass as they spoke daily to him, and he hearkened not to them, that they informed Haman, to see whether Mordecai's matters would stand; for he had told them that he was a Jew.
4 Sucedeu, pois, que, dizendo-lhe eles isto, dia após dia, e não lhes dando ele ouvidos, o fizeram saber a Hamã, para ver se as palavras de Mordecai se manteriam de pé, porque ele lhes tinha declarado que era judeu.
5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, Haman was full of fury.
5 Vendo, pois, Hamã que Mordecai não se inclinava, nem se prostrava diante dele, encheu-se de furor.
6 But he scorned to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had made known to him the people of Mordecai; therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were in all the kingdom of Ahasuerus-the people of Mordecai.
6 Porém teve como pouco, nos seus propósitos, o atentar apenas contra Mordecai, porque lhe haviam declarado de que povo era Mordecai; por isso, procurou Hamã destruir todos os judeus, povo de Mordecai, que havia em todo o reino de Assuero.
7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman for each day and for each month, to the twelfth {month}, that is, the month Adar.
7 No primeiro mês, que é o mês de nisã, no ano duodécimo do rei Assuero, se lançou o Pur, isto é, sortes, perante Hamã, dia a dia, mês a mês, até ao duodécimo, que é o mês de adar.
8 And Haman said to king Ahasuerus, There is a people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from {those of} every people, and they keep not the king's laws; and it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.
8 Então, disse Hamã ao rei Assuero: Existe espalhado, disperso entre os povos em todas as províncias do teu reino, um povo cujas leis são diferentes das leis de todos os povos e que não cumpre as do rei; pelo que não convém ao rei tolerá-lo.
9 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those that have charge of the affairs, to bring {it} into the king's treasuries.
9 Se bem parecer ao rei, decrete-se que sejam mortos, e, nas próprias mãos dos que executarem a obra, eu pesarei dez mil talentos de prata para que entrem nos tesouros do rei.
10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy.
10 Então, o rei tirou da mão o seu anel, deu-o a Hamã, filho de Hamedata, agagita, adversário dos judeus,
11 And the king said to Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to do with them as seems good to thee.
11 e lhe disse: Essa prata seja tua, como também esse povo, para fazeres dele o que melhor for de teu agrado.
12 Then were the king's scribes called, in the first month, on the thirteenth day of the {month}, and there was written according to all that Haman commanded unto the king's satraps, and to the governors over every province, and to the princes of every people; to every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people according to their language: in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.
12 Chamaram, pois, os secretários do rei, no dia treze do primeiro mês, e, segundo ordenou Hamã, tudo se escreveu aos sátrapas do rei, aos governadores de todas as províncias e aos príncipes de cada povo; a cada província no seu próprio modo de escrever e a cada povo na sua própria língua. Em nome do rei Assuero se escreveu, e com o anel do rei se selou.
13 And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, upon the thirteenth of the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, and {to take} the spoil of them for a prey.
13 Enviaram-se as cartas, por intermédio dos correios, a todas as províncias do rei, para que se destruíssem, matassem e aniquilassem de vez a todos os judeus, moços e velhos, crianças e mulheres, em um só dia, no dia treze do duodécimo mês, que é o mês de adar, e que lhes saqueassem os bens.
14 That the decree might be given in every province, a copy of the writing was published to all peoples, that they should be ready against that day.
14 Tais cartas encerravam o traslado do decreto para que se proclamasse a lei em cada província; esse traslado foi enviado a todos os povos para que se preparassem para aquele dia.
15 The couriers went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the fortress. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was in consternation.
15 Os correios, pois, impelidos pela ordem do rei, partiram incontinenti, e a lei se proclamou na cidadela de Susã; o rei e Hamã se assentaram a beber, mas a cidade de Susã estava perplexa.
