Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 And Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man before his master, and honourable, for by him Jehovah had given deliverance to Syria; and he was a mighty man of valour, {but} a leper.
1 Naamã, comandante do exército do rei da Síria, era grande homem diante do seu senhor e de muito conceito, porque por ele o Senhor dera vitória à Síria; era ele herói da guerra, porém leproso.
2 And the Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
2 Saíram tropas da Síria, e da terra de Israel levaram cativa uma menina, que ficou ao serviço da mulher de Naamã.
3 And she said to her mistress, Oh, would that my lord were before the prophet that is in Samaria! then he would cure him of his leprosy.
3 Disse ela à sua senhora: Tomara o meu senhor estivesse diante do profeta que está em Samaria; ele o restauraria da sua lepra.
4 And he went and told his lord saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
4 Então, foi Naamã e disse ao seu senhor: Assim e assim falou a jovem que é da terra de Israel.
5 And the king of Syria said, Well! go, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand {shekels} of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
5 Respondeu o rei da Síria: Vai, anda, e enviarei uma carta ao rei de Israel. Ele partiu e levou consigo dez talentos de prata, seis mil siclos de ouro e dez vestes festivais.
6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, And now, when this letter comes to thee, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest cure him of his leprosy.
6 Levou também ao rei de Israel a carta, que dizia: Logo, em chegando a ti esta carta, saberás que eu te enviei Naamã, meu servo, para que o cures da sua lepra.
7 And it came to pass when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his garments, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks an occasion against me.
7 Tendo lido o rei de Israel a carta, rasgou as suas vestes e disse: Acaso, sou Deus com poder de tirar a vida ou dá-la, para que este envie a mim um homem para eu curá-lo de sua lepra? Notai, pois, e vede que procura um pretexto para romper comigo.
8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his garments, that he sent to the king, saying, Why hast thou rent thy garments? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
8 Ouvindo, porém, Eliseu, homem de Deus, que o rei de Israel rasgara as suas vestes, mandou dizer ao rei: Por que rasgaste as tuas vestes? Deixa-o vir a mim, e saberá que há profeta em Israel.
9 And Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the doorway of the house of Elisha.
9 Veio, pois, Naamã com os seus cavalos e os seus carros e parou à porta da casa de Eliseu.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
10 Então, Eliseu lhe mandou um mensageiro, dizendo: Vai, lava-te sete vezes no Jordão, e a tua carne será restaurada, e ficarás limpo.
11 And Naaman was wroth, and went away and said, Behold, I thought, He will certainly come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and wave his hand over the place, and cure the leper.
11 Naamã, porém, muito se indignou e se foi, dizendo: Pensava eu que ele sairia a ter comigo, pôr-se-ia de pé, invocaria o nome do Senhor , seu Deus, moveria a mão sobre o lugar da lepra e restauraria o leproso.
12 Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them and be clean? And he turned and went away in a rage.
12 Não são, porventura, Abana e Farfar, rios de Damasco, melhores do que todas as águas de Israel? Não poderia eu lavar-me neles e ficar limpo? E voltou-se e se foi com indignação.
13 And his servants drew near, and spoke to him and said, My father, {if} the prophet had bidden thee {do some} great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he says to thee, Wash and be clean?
13 Então, se chegaram a ele os seus oficiais e lhe disseram: Meu pai, se te houvesse dito o profeta alguma coisa difícil, acaso, não a farias? Quanto mais, já que apenas te disse: Lava-te e ficarás limpo.
14 Then he went down, and plunged himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
14 Então, desceu e mergulhou no Jordão sete vezes, consoante a palavra do homem de Deus; e a sua carne se tornou como a carne de uma criança, e ficou limpo.
15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came and stood before him; and he said, Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; and now, I pray thee, take a present of thy servant.
15 Voltou ao homem de Deus, ele e toda a sua comitiva; veio, pôs-se diante dele e disse: Eis que, agora, reconheço que em toda a terra não há Deus, senão em Israel; agora, pois, te peço aceites um presente do teu servo.
16 But he said, As Jehovah liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none! And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
16 Porém ele disse: Tão certo como vive o Senhor , em cuja presença estou, não o aceitarei. Instou com ele para que o aceitasse, mas ele recusou.
17 And Naaman said, If not, then let there, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of {this} earth; for thy servant will no more offer burnt-offering and sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah.
17 Disse Naamã: Se não queres, peço-te que ao teu servo seja dado levar uma carga de terra de dois mulos; porque nunca mais oferecerá este teu servo holocausto nem sacrifício a outros deuses, senão ao Senhor .
18 In this thing Jehovah pardon thy servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to bow down there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon-when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, Jehovah pardon thy servant, I pray thee, in this thing.
18 Nisto perdoe o Senhor a teu servo; quando o meu senhor entra na casa de Rimom para ali adorar, e ele se encosta na minha mão, e eu também me tenha de encurvar na casa de Rimom, quando assim me prostrar na casa de Rimom, nisto perdoe o Senhor a teu servo.
19 And he said to him, Go in peace. And he departed from him a little way.
19 Eliseu lhe disse: Vai em paz. Quando Naamã se tinha afastado certa distância,
20 And Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared Naaman, this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought; but as Jehovah liveth, I will run after him and take somewhat of him.
20 Geazi, o moço de Eliseu, homem de Deus, disse consigo: Eis que meu senhor impediu a este siro Naamã que da sua mão se lhe desse alguma coisa do que trazia; porém, tão certo como vive o Senhor , hei de correr atrás dele e receberei dele alguma coisa.
21 And Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he sprang down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
21 Então, foi Geazi em alcance de Naamã; Naamã, vendo que corria atrás dele, saltou do carro a encontrá-lo e perguntou: Vai tudo bem?
22 And he said, All is well. My master has sent me saying, Behold, even now there are come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets; give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of raiment.
22 Ele respondeu: Tudo vai bem; meu senhor me mandou dizer: Eis que, agora mesmo, vieram a mim dois jovens, dentre os discípulos dos profetas da região montanhosa de Efraim; dá-lhes, pois, um talento de prata e duas vestes festivais.
23 And Naaman said, Consent to take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of raiment, and laid them upon two of his young men; and they bore them before him.
23 Disse Naamã: Sê servido tomar dois talentos. Instou com ele e amarrou dois talentos de prata em dois sacos e duas vestes festivais; pô-los sobre dois dos seus moços, os quais os levaram adiante dele.
24 And when he came to the hill, he took them from their hand, and stowed them in the house; and he let the men go, and they departed.
24 Tendo ele chegado ao outeiro, tomou-os das suas mãos e os depositou na casa; e despediu aqueles homens, que se foram.
25 And he entered in and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, Whence {comest thou}, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
25 Ele, porém, entrou e se pôs diante de seu senhor. Perguntou-lhe Eliseu: Donde vens, Geazi? Respondeu ele: Teu servo não foi a parte alguma.
26 And he said to him, Did not my heart go, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and bondmen, and bondwomen?
26 Porém ele lhe disse: Porventura, não fui contigo em espírito quando aquele homem voltou do seu carro, a encontrar-te? Era isto ocasião para tomares prata e para tomares vestes, olivais e vinhas, ovelhas e bois, servos e servas?
27 But the leprosy of Naaman shall fasten upon thee, and upon thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence leprous, as snow.
27 Portanto, a lepra de Naamã se pegará a ti e à tua descendência para sempre. Então, saiu de diante dele leproso, branco como a neve.
