1 And king Solomon was king over all Israel.
1 Salomão foi rei de todo o povo de Israel.
2 And these are the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok was priest;
2 Os seus altos funcionários foram estes: Sacerdote: Azarias, filho de Zadoque.
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, chronicler;
3 Escrivães: Eliorefe e Aías, filhos de Sisá. Conselheiro do rei: Josafá, filho de Ailude.
4 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
4 Comandante do exército: Benaías, filho de Joiada. Sacerdotes: Zadoque e Abiatar.
5 and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, the king's friend;
5 Chefe dos administradores dos distritos: Azarias, filho de Natã. Conselheiro particular do rei: o sacerdote Zabude, filho de Natã.
6 and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the levy-service.
6 Encarregado dos servidores do palácio: Aisar. Encarregado dos trabalhadores forçados: Adonirão, filho de Abda.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel; and they provided food for the king and his household: each man his month in the year had to make provision.
7 Salomão nomeou doze homens como administradores dos distritos de Israel. Eles forneciam alimentos dos seus distritos para o rei e o seu palácio, e cada um deles tinha o dever de fazer isso durante um mês do ano.
8 And these are their names: Ben-Hur, in mount Ephraim.
8 São estes os nomes desses doze administradores e dos seus distritos: Ben-Hur: a região montanhosa de Efraim.
9 Ben-Deker in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-Beth-hanan.
9 Ben-Dequer: as cidades de Maaz, Saalabim, Bete-Semes, Elom e Bete-Hanã.
10 Ben-Hesed, in Arubboth; he had Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher.
10 Ben-Hesede: as cidades de Arubote e Socó e todo o território de Héfer.
11 Ben-Abinadab had all the upland of Dor; Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife.
11 Ben-Abinadabe, que era casado com Tafate, filha de Salomão: toda a região de Dor.
12 Baana the son of Ahilud had Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zaretan beneath Jizreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-Meholah, as far as beyond Jokneam.
12 Baaná, filho de Ailude: as cidades de Taanaque, Megido e toda a região que ficava perto de Bete-Sã, perto da cidade de Sartã, ao sul da cidade de Jezreel, até as cidades de Abel-Meolá e Jocmeão.
13 Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead; he had the villages of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; he had the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bars of bronze.
13 Ben-Geber: a cidade de Ramote, na região de Gileade, e os povoados de Gileade que pertenciam ao grupo de famílias de Jair, descendente de Manassés; e a região de Argobe, em Basã, onde havia ao todo sessenta cidades grandes cercadas de muralhas e com barras de bronze nos portões.
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo, at Mahanaim.
14 Ainadabe, filho de Ido: o distrito de Maanaim.
15 Ahimaaz, in Nephtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon as wife.
15 Aimaás, que era casado com Basemate, outra filha de Salomão: o território de Naftali.
16 Baanah the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth.
16 Baaná, filho de Husai: a região de Aser e a cidade de Bealote.
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar.
17 Josafá, filho de Parua: o território de Issacar.
18 Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin.
18 Simei, filho de Elá: o território de Benjamim.
19 Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites, and of Og the king of Bashan; and {he was} the only superintendent that was in the land.
19 Geber, filho de Uri: a região de Gileade, que havia sido governada por Seom, o rei dos amorreus, e por Ogue, rei de Basã. No território de Judá também havia um administrador.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
20 O povo de Judá e de Israel era tão numeroso como os grãos de areia da praia do mar; eles comiam, bebiam e eram muito felizes.
21 And Solomon ruled over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
21 Do reino de Salomão faziam parte todas as nações que havia desde o rio Eufrates até a terra dos filisteus e até a fronteira do Egito. Esses reinos pagavam impostos a Salomão e foram dominados por ele durante toda a sua vida.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,
22 Os mantimentos que Salomão precisava todos os dias eram: três mil quilos de farinha de trigo e seis mil quilos de farinha de outros cereais;
23 ten fatted oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
23 dez bois gordos, vinte bois de pasto e cem carneiros; fora veados, gazelas , corços e aves domésticas.
24 For he had dominion over all on this side the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gazah, over all the kings on this side the river; and he had peace on all sides round about.
24 Salomão dominava toda a região a oeste do rio Eufrates, desde Tifsa, no Eufrates, até a cidade de Gaza, no litoral do mar Mediterrâneo. Todos os reis a oeste do Eufrates eram dominados por ele, e ele estava em paz com todos os países vizinhos.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
25 Durante a vida de Salomão o povo de Judá e de Israel viveu em segurança, e de uma ponta do país à outra cada família tinha os seus pés de uvas e de figos.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
26 Salomão tinha quatro mil baias para os cavalos dos seus carros de guerra e doze mil cavalos de cavalaria.
27 And those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
27 Os seus doze administradores regionais, cada um no seu mês, forneciam os alimentos que Salomão precisava para si mesmo e para aqueles que comiam no palácio; os administradores não deixavam faltar nada.
28 And the barley, and the straw for the horses and coursers, they brought to the place where {the superintendents} were, every man according to his charge.
28 Cada um também fornecia a sua parte de cevada e de palha onde eram necessárias para os cavalos que puxavam os carros de guerra e para os animais de trabalho.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
29 Deus deu a Salomão sabedoria, entendimento fora do comum e conhecimentos tão grandes, que não podiam ser medidos.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
30 Salomão era mais sábio do que qualquer homem do Oriente ou do Egito.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations round about.
31 Ele era mais sábio do que todos os homens: mais sábio do que Etã, o ezraíta, e do que Hemã, Calcol e Darda, filhos de Maol. E a sua fama se espalhou por todos os países vizinhos.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
32 Ele escreveu três mil provérbios e compôs mais de mil canções.
33 And he spoke of the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of cattle, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
33 Falou de árvores e plantas, desde os cedros do Líbano até o hissopo , que cresce nos muros; ele falou também dos animais, dos pássaros, dos animais que se arrastam pelo chão e dos peixes.
34 And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
34 Reis do mundo inteiro souberam da sabedoria de Salomão e mandaram pessoas para ouvi-lo.
