The Book of Mormon (BOM) vs ARA
1 [Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Harmony, Pennsylvania, July 1828, relating to the loss of 116 pages of manuscript translated from the first part of the Book of Mormon, which was called the "Book of Lehi." The Prophet had reluctantly allowed these pages to pass from his custody to that of Martin Harris, who had served for a brief period as scribe in the translation of the Book of Mormon. The revelation was given through the Urim and Thummim. HC 1: 21-23. See also Section 10.] THE works, and the designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught.
1 Então, se dispôs Eliasibe, o sumo sacerdote, com os sacerdotes, seus irmãos, e reedificaram a Porta das Ovelhas; consagraram-na, assentaram-lhe as portas e continuaram a reconstrução até à Torre dos Cem e à Torre de Hananel.
2 For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said, therefore his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.
2 Junto a ele edificaram os homens de Jericó; também, ao seu lado, edificou Zacur, filho de Inri.
3 Remember, remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men;
3 Os filhos de Hassenaá edificaram a Porta do Peixe; colocaram-lhe as vigas e lhe assentaram as portas com seus ferrolhos e trancas.
4 For although a man may have many revelations, and have power to do many mighty works, yet if he boasts in his own strength, and sets at naught the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will and carnal desires, he must fall and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.
4 Ao seu lado, reparou Meremote, filho de Urias, filho de Coz; junto deste reparou Mesulão, filho de Berequias, filho de Mesezabel, a cujo lado reparou Zadoque, filho de Baaná.
5 Behold, you have been entrusted with these things, but how strict were your commandments; and remember also the promises which were made to you, if you did not transgress them.
5 Ao lado destes, repararam os tecoítas; os seus nobres, porém, não se sujeitaram ao serviço do seu senhor.
6 And behold, how oft you have transgressed the commandments and the laws of God, and have gone on in the persuasions of men.
6 Joiada, filho de Paseia, e Mesulão, filho de Besodias, repararam a Porta Velha; colocaram-lhe as vigas e lhe assentaram as portas com seus ferrolhos e trancas.
7 For, behold, you should not have feared man more than God. Although men set at naught the counsels of God, and despise his words-
7 Junto deles, trabalharam Melatias, gibeonita, e Jadom, meronotita, homens de Gibeão e de Mispa, que pertenciam ao domínio do governador de além do Eufrates.
8 Yet you should have been faithful; and he would have extended his arm and supported you against all the fiery darts of the adversary; and he would have been with you in every time of trouble.
8 Ao seu lado, reparou Uziel, filho de Haraías, um dos ourives; junto dele, Hananias, um dos perfumistas; e restauraram Jerusalém até ao Muro Largo.
9 Behold, thou art Joseph, and thou wast chosen to do the work of the Lord, but because of transgression, if thou art not aware thou wilt fall.
9 Junto a estes, trabalhou Refaías, filho de Hur, maioral da metade de Jerusalém.
10 But remember, God is merciful; therefore, repent of that which thou hast done which is contrary to the commandment which I gave you, and thou art still chosen, and art again called to the work;
10 Ao seu lado, reparou Jedaías, filho de Harumafe, defronte da sua casa; e, ao seu lado, reparou Hatus, filho de Hasabneias.
11 Except thou do this, thou shalt be delivered up and become as other men, and have no more gift.
11 A outra parte reparou Malquias, filho de Harim, e Hassube, filho de Paate-Moabe, como também a Torre dos Fornos.
12 And when thou deliveredst up that which God had given thee sight and power to translate, thou deliveredst up that which was sacred into the hands of a wicked man,
12 Ao lado dele, reparou Salum, filho de Haloés, maioral da outra meia parte de Jerusalém, ele e suas filhas.
13 Who has set at naught the counsels of God, and has broken the most sacred promises which were made before God, and has depended upon his own judgment and boasted in his own wisdom.
13 A Porta do Vale, reparou-a Hanum e os moradores de Zanoa; edificaram-na e lhe assentaram as portas com seus ferrolhos e trancas e ainda mil côvados da muralha, até à Porta do Monturo.
14 And this is the reason that thou hast lost thy privileges for a season-
14 A Porta do Monturo, reparou-a Malquias, filho de Recabe, maioral do distrito de Bete-Haquerém; ele a edificou e lhe assentou as portas com seus ferrolhos e trancas.
15 For thou hast suffered the counsel of thy director to be trampled upon from the beginning.
15 A Porta da Fonte, reparou-a Salum, filho de Col-Hozé, maioral do distrito de Mispa; ele a edificou, e a cobriu, e lhe assentou as portas com seus ferrolhos e trancas, e ainda o muro do açude de Selá, junto ao jardim do rei, até aos degraus que descem da Cidade de Davi.
16 Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people-
16 Depois dele, reparou Neemias, filho de Azbuque, maioral da metade do distrito de Bete-Zur, até defronte dos sepulcros de Davi, até ao açude artificial e até à casa dos heróis.
17 And to the Nephites, and the Jacobites, and the Josephites, and the Zoramites, through the testimony of their fathers-
17 Depois dele, repararam os levitas, Reum, filho de Bani, e, ao seu lado, Hasabias, maioral da metade do distrito de Queila.
18 And this testimony shall come to the knowledge of the Lamanites, and the Lemuelites, and the Ishmaelites, who dwindled in unbelief because of the iniquity of their fathers, whom the Lord has suffered to destroy their brethren the Nephites, because of their iniquities and their abominations.
18 Depois dele, repararam seus irmãos: Bavai, filho de Henadade, maioral da metade do distrito de Queila;
19 And for this very purpose are these plates preserved, which contain these records-that the promises of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made to his people;
19 ao seu lado, reparou Ezer, filho de Jesua, maioral de Mispa, outra parte defronte da subida para a casa das armas, no ângulo do muro.
20 And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord, and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

25 Palal, filho de Uzai, reparou defronte do ângulo e da torre que sai da casa real superior, que está junto ao pátio do cárcere; depois dele, reparou Pedaías, filho de Parós,

26 e os servos do templo que habitavam em Ofel, até defronte da Porta das Águas, para o oriente, e até à torre alta.

27 Depois, repararam os tecoítas outra porção, defronte da torre grande e alta, e até ao Muro de Ofel.

28 Para cima da Porta dos Cavalos, repararam os sacerdotes, cada um defronte da sua casa.

29 Depois deles, reparou Zadoque, filho de Imer, defronte de sua casa; e, depois dele, Semaías, filho de Secanias, guarda da Porta Oriental.

30 Depois dele, reparou Hananias, filho de Selemias, e Hanum, o sexto filho de Zalafe, outra porção; depois deles, reparou Mesulão, filho de Berequias, defronte da sua morada.

31 Depois dele, reparou Malquias, filho de um ourives, até à casa dos servos do templo e dos mercadores, defronte da Porta da Guarda, até ao eirado da esquina.
