1 To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.
1 Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha queixa; preserva a minha vida do terror do inimigo.
2 \64:1\O God, let the voice of my grief come to your ear: keep my life from the fear of those who are against me.
2 Esconde-me da conspiração dos malfeitores e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniquidade.
3 \64:2\Keep me safe from the secret purpose of wrongdoers; from the band of the workers of evil;
3 Eles afiam a língua como espada e apontam, quais flechas, palavras amargas,
4 \64:3\Who make their tongues sharp like a sword, and whose arrows are pointed, even bitter words;
4 para, às escondidas, atingirem o íntegro; contra ele disparam repentinamente e não temem.
5 \64:4\So that in secret they may let loose their arrows at the upright, suddenly and unseen.
5 Teimam no mau propósito; falam em secretamente armar ciladas, e dizem: “Quem nos verá?”
6 \64:5\They make themselves strong in an evil purpose; they make holes for secret nets; they say, Who will see it,
6 Planejam iniquidades e dizem: “O plano que fizemos é perfeito!” Os pensamentos e o coração de cada um deles são um abismo.
7 \64:6\Or make discovery of our secret purpose? The design is framed with care; and the inner thought of a man, and his heart, is deep.
7 Mas Deus atira contra eles uma flecha; de repente, ficarão feridos.
8 \64:7\But God sends out an arrow against them; suddenly they are wounded.
8 Assim, serão levados a tropeçar; a própria língua se voltará contra eles; todos os que os veem balançam a cabeça.
9 \64:8\The evil of their tongues is the cause of their fall; all those who see them are shaking their heads at them.
9 Todas as pessoas temerão, e anunciarão as obras de Deus, e entenderão o que ele faz.
10 \64:9\And in fear men make public the works of God; and giving thought to his acts they get wisdom.
10 O justo se alegra no Senhor e nele confia; e se gloriam todos os retos de coração.
11 \64:10\The upright will be glad in the Lord and have hope in him; and all the lovers of righteousness will give him glory.
