1 Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
1 Abre as tuas portas, ó Líbano, para que o fogo devore os teus cedros.
2 Wail, O fir-tree, for the cedar is fallen, because the goodly ones are destroyed: wail, O ye oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest is come down.
2 Geme, ó cipreste, pois o cedro caiu, porque os poderosos são destruídos; geme, ó carvalhos de Basã, pois a floresta densa é derrubada.
3 A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! for their glory is destroyed: a voice of the roaring of young lions! for the pride of the Jordan is laid waste.
3 Há uma voz de uivo dos pastores, pois sua glória foi destruída; uma voz de bramido dos filhos de leões, pois o orgulho do Jordão foi destruído.
4 Thus said Jehovah my God: Feed the flock of slaughter;
4 Assim diz o SENHOR meu Deus: Alimenta as ovelhas da matança,
5 whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty; and they that sell them say, Blessed be Jehovah, for I am rich; and their own shepherds pity them not.
5 cujos possuidores as matam, e não se têm por culpados; e aqueles que as vendem dizem: Bendito seja o SENHOR, pois estou rico; e os seus próprios pastores não têm piedade delas.
6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith Jehovah; but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
6 Por isso não terei mais piedade dos habitantes da terra, diz o SENHOR; mas, eis que entregarei os homens, cada um, na mão do seu vizinho, e na mão do seu rei; e eles ferirão a terra, e da mão deles eu não os livrarei.
7 So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
7 Eu alimentarei as ovelhas da matança, até vós, ó pobres do rebanho. E tomei para mim duas varas: A uma chamei Beleza, e à outra chamei União; e alimentei o rebanho.
8 And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.
8 E também cortarei três pastores em um mês; e minha alma enojou-se deles, e suas almas também me abominaram.
9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that which dieth, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them that are left eat every one the flesh of another.
9 Então eu disse: Não vos alimentarei mais; aquela que morrer, morra; a que for cortada, seja cortada; e que o resto coma cada uma a carne da outra.
10 And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.
10 E tomei a minha vara, Beleza, e a cortei em pedaços, para quebrar o meu pacto, que tinha feito com todo o povo.
11 And it was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.
11 E foi quebrada naquele dia; e assim os pobres do rebanho, que esperavam por mim, souberam que isto era a palavra do SENHOR.
12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my hire thirty
12 E eu lhes disse: Se achardes bom, dai-me o meu preço; se não, deixai-o. E pesaram o meu preço, trinta peças de prata.
13 And Jehovah said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty
13 E o SENHOR me disse: Lança isto ao oleiro, um belo preço pelo qual me avaliaram. E tomei as trinta peças de prata, e os lancei ao oleiro na casa do SENHOR.
14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
14 Então cortei em pedaços a minha outra vara, União, para quebrar a irmandade entre Judá e Israel.
15 And Jehovah said unto me, Take unto thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
15 E o SENHOR disse-me: Toma ainda para ti os instrumentos de um pastor tolo.
16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the flesh of the fat
16 Porque, eis que levantarei um pastor na terra que não visitará aquelas que estão perdidas, nem buscará a pequena, e nem curará a que está ferida, nem alimentará a que está de pé; mas comerá a carne da gorda, e lhe despedaçará as unhas.
17 Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
17 Ai do pastor ídolo, que abandona o rebanho! A espada estará sobre o seu braço e sobre o seu olho direito; o seu braço se secará completamente, e o seu olho direito se escurecerá completamente.
