1 From where are wars and fightings among you? Is it not from here: from your pleasures warring in your body-parts?

2 Ye desire and do not have, so ye murder. And ye envy and cannot obtain, so ye fight and make war. Ye do not have, because ye do not ask.
2 A kok gagamin i sawar kwatabow, baise men kwabowabow. Sabuw kwa’a’asbunubunuw naatu kwababahiy kwanekwan, baise abisa kwakokok men kwabowabow. Naatu abisa men kwabaib isan kwagam kwabiyow, anayabin God men kwabifefeyan.
3 Ye ask, and do not receive, because ye ask wrongly, so that ye may spend on your pleasures.
3 God kwabifefeyan men ibit, anayabin sawar kwa akis a yasisir isan kwakok kwabifefeyan, nati fefeyan i men gewasin.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is hatred of God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
4 Baiwa’an kwanekwaneyah tak! Tafaram bairi kwai’of God ana rakit kwamamatar kwaso’ob ai en? Orot yait tafaram ana of emamatar i taiyuwin iwa’an God ana rakit matar.
5 Or think ye that the scripture says vainly, The spirit that he caused to dwell in us yearns with jealousy?
5 Men kwananot tur iti Bukamaim eo i yabin en. “God Anun Kakafiyin wanawanatamaim yari’iy ema’am, abisa kakafin tasisinaf isan ana yaso’ar i gagamin maiyow ebaib.
6 But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, God is opposed to the arrogant, but gives grace to the lowly.

7 Be subordinate therefore to God, but resist the devil and he will flee from you.
7 Isan imih taiyuw God kwanitin. Naatu Demon Mowan kwanarukouw, saise i boro nabihir kwa nihamiyi.
8 Approach God and he will approach you. Cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded.
8 Kwanan God biyanamaim kwaniyubin, i boro nan kwa biyamaim niyubin, kwa i bowabow kakafin wairafi, imih uma kwanasouwen, naatu dogor kwanasouwen, kwa wanawan rerekabih.
9 Be ye sorrowful, and mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into a downcast look.
9 A kakafih isan kwaniyababan, kwanarerey kwana’osmetan, marib keteketef kwanihamiy kwanarerey. Naatu kawasa kwanihamiy kwaniyababan.
10 Be ye made lower in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.
10 Naatu au’uwi maiye Regah nanamaim taiyuw kwanayara’iyi, Regah boro kwa nabora’ahi.
11 Speak not against each other, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against law and judges law. But if thou judge law, thou are not a doer of law, but a judge.
11 Taitu, men asir taiyuw wanawanamaim kwanagam, kwanigigim, kwana’uwi kwanikwaniyimih. O yait Kirisiyan tura isan igam iu naatu kubibabatiy, o i ofafar isan kugamigim naatu kubibabatiy. Imih o kubibatiy ana veya o i men ofafar kubobosiyasiyar, baise ana baibatiyenayan imatar.
12 There is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy, but thou, who are thou who judge the other man?
12 God akisinamo ofafar ebitit naatu i akisinamo nibatiyit, i akisinamo boro niyawasit naatu i akisinamo boro nagurusit. Baise o a gewasin i men tomar taituwa kubibatiy?
13 Go now, men who say, Today and tomorrow we will go into this city, and will operate one year there, and will engage in trade and will get gain--
13 Iti ao kwananowar, o yait iti na’at inao, “Boun o maras it boro tanan tafaram ta gagamin, imaim kwamur ta’imon tanama tanabow kabay tanab ata kabay tafan tanaya’abar.”
14 men who know not of the morrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little while, and then also vanishes away--
14 Baise maras ayawas isan abisa namamatar o men iso’ob. Kwa i sowasow na’atube, mar auman sowasow i’itin, mar kafai in veya nayey sowasow na’am in.
15 in place of your saying, If the Lord should will, then we will live and do this or that.
15 Baise ana gewasin kwa iti na’atube kwatao, God nakokok na’at basit tanama sawar iti o ni’i tanasinaf.
16 But now ye boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
16 Baise kwa i bai’o’orotoyah naatu ora’ara’atayah, nati a ora’ara’at etei i kakafih.
17 He therefore who knows to do good, and is not doing it, to him it is sin.
17 Isan imih orot yait sawar gewasin so’ob baise men isisinaf, nati orot i bowabow kakafin isisinaf.
