¹ In Judah God is known. His name is great in Israel.

² In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

³ There he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

⁴ Thou [are] more glorious [and] excellent than the mountains of prey.

⁵ The stouthearted are made a spoil. They have slept their sleep, and none of the men of might have found their hands.

⁶ At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.

⁶ Ante a tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, paralisaram carros e cavalos.

⁷ Thou, even thou, are to be feared. And who may stand in thy sight when once thou are angry?

⁷ Tu, sim, tu és terrível; se te iras, quem pode subsistir à tua vista?

⁸ Thou caused sentence to be heard from heaven. The earth feared and was still

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; tremeu a terra e se aquietou,

⁹ when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

⁹ ao levantar-se Deus para julgar e salvar todos os humildes da terra.

¹⁰ Surely the inward thought of man shall praise thee, even the residue of inward thought will observe a festival to thee.

¹⁰ Pois até a ira humana há de louvar-te; e do resíduo das iras te cinges.

¹¹ Vow, and pay to LORD your God. Let all who are round about him bring presents to him who ought to be feared.

¹¹ Fazei votos e pagai-os ao Senhor , vosso Deus; tragam presentes todos os que o rodeiam, àquele que deve ser temido.

¹² He will cut off the spirit of rulers. He is fearful to the kings of the earth.

¹² Ele quebranta o orgulho dos príncipes; é tremendo aos reis da terra.
