1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel. Is it not for you to know justice?
1 Mais disse eu: Ouvi agora vós, chefes de Jacó, e vós, príncipes da casa de Israel: não é a vós que pertence saber o direito?
2 Ye who hate the good, and love the evil, who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones,
2 A vós que aborreceis o bem e amais o mal, que arrancais a pele de cima deles e a sua carne de cima dos seus ossos,
3 who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
3 e que comeis a carne do meu povo, e lhes arrancais a pele, e lhes esmiuçais os ossos, e os repartis como para a panela e como carne do meio do caldeirão.
4 Then they shall cry to LORD, but he will not answer them. Yea, he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.
4 Então, clamarão ao Senhor , mas não os ouvirá, antes esconderá deles a sua face naquele tempo, visto que eles fizeram mal nas suas obras.
5 Thus says LORD concerning the prophets who make my people to err, who bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace. And he who does not put into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
5 Assim diz o Senhor contra os profetas que fazem errar o meu povo, que mordem com os seus dentes e clamam: Paz! Mas contra aquele que nada lhes mete na boca preparam guerra.
6 Therefore it shall be night to you, that ye shall have no vision. And it shall be dark to you, that ye shall not divine. And the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
6 Portanto, se vos fará noite, para que não haja profecia, e haverá trevas, para que não haja adivinhação, e se porá o sol sobre esses profetas, e o dia sobre eles se enegrecerá.
7 And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded. Yea, they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.
7 E os videntes se envergonharão, e os adivinhadores se confundirão, sim, todos eles cobrirão os seus lábios, porque não haverá resposta de Deus.
8 But as for me, I am full of power by the Spirit of LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
8 Mas, decerto, eu sou cheio da força do Espírito do Senhor e cheio de juízo e de ânimo, para anunciar a Jacó a sua transgressão e a Israel o seu pecado.
9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity.
9 Ouvi agora isto, vós, chefes da casa de Jacó, e vós, maiorais da casa de Israel, que abominais o juízo e perverteis tudo o que é direito,
10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
10 edificando a Sião com sangue e a Jerusalém com injustiça.
11 The heads of it judge for a bribe, and the priests of it teach for a wage, and the prophets of it divine for money. Yet they lean upon LORD, and say, Is not LORD in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us.
11 Os seus chefes dão as sentenças por presentes, e os seus sacerdotes ensinam por interesse, e os seus profetas adivinham por dinheiro; e ainda se encostam ao Senhor , dizendo: Não está o Senhor no meio de nós? Nenhum mal nos sobrevirá.
12 Therefore for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
12 Portanto, por causa de vós, Sião será lavrado como um campo, e Jerusalém se tornará em montões de pedras, e o monte desta casa, em lugares altos de um bosque.
