Ezequiel 15
A Conservative Version (ACV) vs NAA
1 And the word of LORD came to me, saying,
1 A palavra do Senhor veio a mim, dizendo:
2 Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?
2 — Filho do homem, de todos os ramos das árvores da floresta, o que acontece com a lenha da videira?
3 Shall wood be taken of it to make any work? Or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
3 Será que essa madeira pode ser empregada para fazer alguma obra? Será que é possível tirar dela uma estaca para pendurar objetos?
4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel. The fire has devoured both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it profitable for any work?
4 Eis que é jogada no fogo, para ser queimada. Se o fogo queima as duas extremidades, e o meio fica também carbonizado, será que serve para alguma obra?
5 Behold, when it was whole, it was fit for no work. How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be fit for any work!
5 Ora, se já não servia para nada quando estava inteira, muito menos servirá para fazer alguma coisa depois que o fogo a queimou ou estiver carbonizada.
6 Therefore thus says lord LORD: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
6 — Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Como a lenha da videira entre as árvores da floresta, que entreguei ao fogo para ser queimada, assim entregarei os moradores de Jerusalém.
7 And I will set my face against them. They shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them. And ye shall know that I am LORD when I set my face against them.
7 Voltarei o rosto contra eles. Mesmo que saiam do fogo, o fogo os consumirá. E vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor , quando tiver voltado o rosto contra eles.
8 And I will make the land desolate because they have committed a trespass, says lord LORD.
8 Tornarei a terra em desolação, porque cometeram graves transgressões, diz o Senhor Deus.
