¹ E Davi, juntamente com os capitães do exército, separou para o ministério os filhos de Asafe, e de Hemã, e de Jedutum, para profetizarem com harpas, e com alaúdes, e com saltérios; e este foi o número dos homens aptos para a obra do seu ministério:

² of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.

² dos filhos de Asafe, Zacur, e José, e Netanias, e Asarela, filhos de Asafe, a cargo de Asafe, que profetizava debaixo da direção do rei Davi;

³ Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising LORD.

³ dos filhos de Jedutum, Gedalias, e Zeri, e Jesaías, e Hasabias, e Matitias, seis, a cargo de seu pai Jedutum, para tanger harpas, o qual profetizava, louvando e dando graças ao Senhor ;

⁴ Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

⁴ dos filhos de Hemã, Buquias, e Matanias, e Uziel, e Sebuel, e Jerimote, e Hananias, e Hanani, e Eliata, e Gidalti, e Romanti-Ézer, e Josbecasa, e Maloti, e Hotir, e Maaziote.

⁵ All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

⁵ Todos estes foram filhos de Hemã, o vidente do rei nas palavras de Deus, para exaltar a corneta. Deus dera a Hemã catorze filhos e três filhas.

⁶ All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

⁶ Todos estes estavam ao lado de seu pai para o canto da Casa do Senhor , com saltérios, e alaúdes e harpas, para o ministério da Casa de Deus; e, ao lado do rei, Asafe, e Jedutum, e Hemã.

⁷ And the number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to LORD, even all who were skilful, was two hundred eighty-eight.

⁷ E era o número deles, juntamente com seus irmãos instruídos no canto do Senhor , todos eles mestres, duzentos e oitenta e oito.

⁸ And they cast lots for their offices, all alike, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

⁸ E deitaram as sortes acerca da guarda igualmente, assim o pequeno como o grande, o mestre juntamente com o discípulo.

⁹ Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph, the second to Gedaliah (he and his brothers and sons were twelve),

⁹ Saiu, pois, a primeira sorte a Asafe, a saber: a José; a segunda, a Gedalias; e eram ele, e seus irmãos, e seus filhos, ao todo, doze;

¹⁰ the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁰ a terceira, a Zacur, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹¹ the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹¹ a quarta, a Izri, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹² the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹² a quinta, a Netanias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹³ the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹³ a sexta, a Buquias, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁴ the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁴ a sétima, a Jesarela, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁵ the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁵ a oitava, a Jesaías, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁶ the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁶ a nona, a Matanias, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁷ the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁷ a décima, a Simei, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁸ the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁸ a undécima, a Azarel, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

¹⁹ the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁹ a duodécima, a Hasabias, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²⁰ for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁰ a décima terceira, a Subael, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²¹ for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²¹ a décima quarta, a Matitias, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²² for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²² a décima quinta, a Jerimote, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²³ for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²³ a décima sexta, a Hananias, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²⁴ for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁴ a décima sétima, a Josbecasa, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²⁵ for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁵ a décima oitava, a Hanani, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²⁶ for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁶ a décima nona, a Maloti, e seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze;

²⁷ for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
