2 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1831" he|strong="G0846" was come out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G1537" the ship|strong="G4143", immediately|strong="G2112" there met|strong="G0528" him|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1537" of the tombs|strong="G3419" a man|strong="G0444" with|strong="G1722" an|strong="G4151" unclean|strong="G0169" spirit|strong="G4151",
3 Who|strong="G3739" had|strong="G2192" his dwelling|strong="G2731" among|strong="G1722" the tombs|strong="G3419"; and|strong="G2532" no man|strong="G3762" could|strong="G1410" bind|strong="G1210" him|strong="G0846", no, not|strong="G3777" with chains|strong="G0254":
4 Because that|strong="G1223" he|strong="G0846" had been|strong="G1210" often|strong="G4178" bound|strong="G1210" with fetters|strong="G3976" and|strong="G2532" chains|strong="G0254", and|strong="G2532" the chains|strong="G0254" had been plucked asunder|strong="G1288" by|strong="G5259" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" the fetters|strong="G3976" broken in pieces|strong="G4937": neither|strong="G2532" could|strong="G2480" any|strong="G3762" man tame|strong="G1150" him|strong="G0846".
5 And|strong="G2532" always|strong="G1275", night|strong="G3571" and|strong="G2532" day|strong="G2250", he was|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" the mountains|strong="G3735", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" the tombs|strong="G3418", crying|strong="G2896", and|strong="G2532" cutting|strong="G2629" himself|strong="G1438" with stones|strong="G3037".
6 But|strong="G1161" when he saw|strong="G1492" Jesus|strong="G2424" afar|strong="G3113" off|strong="G0575", he ran|strong="G5143" and|strong="G2532" worshipped|strong="G4352" him|strong="G0846",
7 And|strong="G2532" cried|strong="G2896" with a|strong="G5456" loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456", and said|strong="G2036", What|strong="G5101" have|strong="G2532" I|strong="G1698" to do with|strong="G2532" thee|strong="G4671", Jesus|strong="G2424", thou Son|strong="G5207" of the|strong="G2316" most high|strong="G5310" God|strong="G2316"? I adjure|strong="G3726" thee|strong="G4571" by God|strong="G2316", that thou torment|strong="G0928" me|strong="G3165" not|strong="G3361".
8 For|strong="G1063" he said|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Come out|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the man|strong="G0444"\+w*, \+add thou\+add* \+w unclean|strong="G0169"\+w* \+w spirit|strong="G4151"\+w*.
9 And|strong="G2532" he asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", \+w What|strong="G5101"\+w* \+add is\+add* \+w thy|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w name|strong="G3686"\+w*? And|strong="G2532" he answered|strong="G0611", saying|strong="G3004", My|strong="G3427" name|strong="G3686" is Legion|strong="G3003": for|strong="G3754" we are|strong="G2070" many|strong="G4183".
10 And|strong="G2532" he besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" much|strong="G4183" that|strong="G2443" he would|strong="G0649" not|strong="G3361" send|strong="G0649" them|strong="G0846" away out of|strong="G1854" the country|strong="G5561".
11 Now|strong="G1161" there was|strong="G2258" there|strong="G1563" nigh|strong="G4314" unto the mountains|strong="G3735" a|strong="G0034" great|strong="G3173" herd|strong="G0034" of swine|strong="G5519" feeding|strong="G1006".
12 And|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" the devils|strong="G1142" besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Send|strong="G3992" us|strong="G2248" into|strong="G1519" the swine|strong="G5519", that|strong="G2443" we may enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" them|strong="G0846".
13 And|strong="G2532" forthwith|strong="G2112" Jesus|strong="G2424" gave|strong="G2010" them|strong="G0846" leave|strong="G2010". And|strong="G2532" the|strong="G4151" unclean|strong="G0169" spirits|strong="G4151" went out|strong="G1831", and entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the swine|strong="G5519": and|strong="G2532" the herd|strong="G0034" ran violently|strong="G3729" down|strong="G2596" a steep place|strong="G2911" into|strong="G1519" the sea|strong="G2281", (they were|strong="G2258" about|strong="G5613" two thousand|strong="G1367";) and|strong="G2532" were choked|strong="G4155" in|strong="G1722" the sea|strong="G2281".
14 And|strong="G1161" they that fed|strong="G1006" the swine|strong="G5519" fled|strong="G5343", and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G0312" it in|strong="G1519" the city|strong="G4172", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1519" the country|strong="G0068". And|strong="G2532" they went out|strong="G1831" to see|strong="G1492" what|strong="G5101" it was|strong="G2076" that was done|strong="G1096".
15 And|strong="G2532" they come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" see|strong="G2334" him that was possessed with the devil|strong="G1139", and had|strong="G2192" the legion|strong="G3003", sitting|strong="G2521", and|strong="G2532" clothed|strong="G2439", and|strong="G2532" in his right mind|strong="G4993": and|strong="G2532" they were afraid|strong="G5399".
16 And|strong="G2532" they that saw|strong="G1492" it told|strong="G1334" them|strong="G0846" how|strong="G4459" it befell to him that was possessed with the devil|strong="G1139", and|strong="G2532" also concerning|strong="G4012" the swine|strong="G5519".
17 And|strong="G2532" they began|strong="G0756" to pray|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" to depart|strong="G0565" out|strong="G0575" of|strong="G3725" their|strong="G0846" coasts|strong="G3725".
18 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1684" he|strong="G0846" was come|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" the ship|strong="G4143", he that had been possessed with the devil|strong="G1139" prayed|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" he might be|strong="G5600" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846".
19 Howbeit|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" suffered|strong="G0863" him|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3756", but|strong="G0235" saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Go|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w home|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w to|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w thy friends|strong="G4674"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w tell|strong="G0312"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w how great things|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w the Lord|strong="G2962"\+w* \+w hath done|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w for thee|strong="G4671"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w hath had compassion on|strong="G1653"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w*.
20 And|strong="G2532" he departed|strong="G0565", and|strong="G2532" began|strong="G0756" to publish|strong="G2784" in|strong="G1722" Decapolis|strong="G1179" how great things|strong="G3745" Jesus|strong="G2424" had done|strong="G4160" for him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" men did marvel|strong="G2296".
21 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1276" Jesus|strong="G2424" was passed over|strong="G1276" again|strong="G3825" by|strong="G1722" ship|strong="G4143" unto|strong="G1519" the other side|strong="G4008", much|strong="G4183" people|strong="G3793" gathered|strong="G4863" unto|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" he was|strong="G2258" nigh unto|strong="G3844" the sea|strong="G2281".
22 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", there cometh|strong="G2064" one|strong="G1520" of the rulers of the synagogue|strong="G0752", Jairus|strong="G2383" by name|strong="G3686"; and|strong="G2532" when he saw|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846", he fell|strong="G4098" at|strong="G4314" his|strong="G0846" feet|strong="G4228",
23 And|strong="G2532" besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" greatly|strong="G4183", saying|strong="G3004", My|strong="G3450" little daughter|strong="G2365" lieth|strong="G2192" at the point of death|strong="G2079": I pray thee, come|strong="G2064" and lay|strong="G2007" thy hands|strong="G5495" on her|strong="G0846", that|strong="G3704" she may be healed|strong="G4982"; and|strong="G2532" she shall live|strong="G2198".
24 And|strong="G2532" Jesus went|strong="G0565" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" much|strong="G4183" people|strong="G3793" followed|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" thronged|strong="G4918" him|strong="G0846".
25 And|strong="G2532" a|strong="G1135" certain|strong="G5100" woman|strong="G1135", which had|strong="G5607" an issue|strong="G4511" of blood|strong="G0129" twelve|strong="G1427" years|strong="G2094",
26 And|strong="G2532" had suffered|strong="G3958" many things|strong="G4183" of|strong="G5259" many|strong="G4183" physicians|strong="G2395", and|strong="G2532" had spent|strong="G1159" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3844" she|strong="G1438" had|strong="G3844", and|strong="G2532" was|strong="G5623" nothing|strong="G3367" bettered|strong="G5623", but|strong="G0235" rather|strong="G3123" grew|strong="G2064" worse|strong="G5501",
27 When she had heard|strong="G0191" of|strong="G4012" Jesus|strong="G2424", came|strong="G2064" in|strong="G1722" the press|strong="G3793" behind|strong="G3693", and touched|strong="G0680" his|strong="G0846" garment|strong="G2440".
28 For|strong="G1063" she said|strong="G3004", If|strong="G2579" I may touch|strong="G0680" but|strong="G2579" his|strong="G0846" clothes|strong="G2440", I shall be whole|strong="G4982".
29 And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" the fountain|strong="G4077" of|strong="G0129" her|strong="G0846" blood|strong="G0129" was dried up|strong="G3583"; and|strong="G2532" she felt|strong="G1097" in her body|strong="G4983" that|strong="G3754" she was healed|strong="G2390" of|strong="G0575" that plague|strong="G3148".
30 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424", immediately|strong="G2112" knowing|strong="G1921" in|strong="G1722" himself|strong="G1438" that|strong="G1921" virtue|strong="G1411" had gone out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G1537" him|strong="G0846", turned him about|strong="G1994" in|strong="G1722" the press|strong="G3793", and said|strong="G3004", \+w Who|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w touched|strong="G0680"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w clothes|strong="G2440"\+w*?
31 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" said|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Thou seest|strong="G0991" the multitude|strong="G3793" thronging|strong="G4918" thee|strong="G4571", and|strong="G2532" sayest thou|strong="G3004", Who|strong="G5101" touched|strong="G0680" me|strong="G3450"?
32 And|strong="G2532" he looked round about|strong="G4017" to see|strong="G1492" her that had done|strong="G4160" this thing|strong="G5124".
33 But|strong="G1161" the woman|strong="G1135" fearing|strong="G5399" and|strong="G2532" trembling|strong="G5141", knowing|strong="G1492" what|strong="G3739" was done|strong="G1096" in|strong="G1909" her|strong="G0846", came|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" fell down before|strong="G4363" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G2036" him|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3956" the truth|strong="G0225".
34 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto her|strong="G0846", \+w Daughter|strong="G2364"\+w*, \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w* \+w hath made|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w whole|strong="G4982"\+w*; \+w go|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w peace|strong="G1515"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be|strong="G2468"\+w* \+w whole|strong="G5199"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w plague|strong="G3148"\+w*.
35 While|strong="G2980" he|strong="G0846" yet|strong="G2089" spake|strong="G2980", there came|strong="G2064" from|strong="G0575" the ruler of the synagogue’s|strong="G0752" house certain which said|strong="G3004", Thy|strong="G4675" daughter|strong="G2364" is dead|strong="G0599": why|strong="G5101" troublest thou|strong="G4660" the Master|strong="G1320" any further|strong="G2089"?
36 As soon as|strong="G2112" Jesus|strong="G2424" heard|strong="G0191" the word|strong="G3056" that was spoken|strong="G2980", he saith|strong="G3004" unto the ruler of the synagogue|strong="G0752", \+w Be|strong="G5399"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w afraid|strong="G5399"\+w*, \+w only|strong="G3440"\+w* \+w believe|strong="G4100"\+w*.
37 And|strong="G2532" he suffered|strong="G0863" no man|strong="G3762" to follow|strong="G4870" him|strong="G0846", save|strong="G1487" Peter|strong="G4074", and|strong="G2532" James|strong="G2385", and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491" the brother|strong="G0080" of James|strong="G2385".
38 And|strong="G2532" he cometh|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" the house|strong="G3624" of the ruler of the synagogue|strong="G0752", and|strong="G2532" seeth|strong="G2334" the tumult|strong="G2351", and them that wept|strong="G2799" and|strong="G2532" wailed|strong="G0214" greatly|strong="G4183".
39 And|strong="G2532" when he was come in|strong="G1525", he saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w make ye this ado|strong="G2350"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w weep|strong="G2799"\+w*? \+w the damsel|strong="G3813"\+w* \+w is|strong="G0599"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w dead|strong="G0599"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w sleepeth|strong="G2518"\+w*.
40 And|strong="G2532" they laughed|strong="G2606" him|strong="G0846" to scorn|strong="G2606". But|strong="G1161" when he had put them|strong="G1544" all|strong="G0537" out|strong="G1544", he taketh|strong="G3880" the father|strong="G3962" and|strong="G2532" the mother|strong="G3384" of the damsel|strong="G3813", and|strong="G2532" them that were with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" entereth in|strong="G1531" where|strong="G3699" the damsel|strong="G3813" was|strong="G2258" lying|strong="G0345".
41 And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G2902" the damsel|strong="G3813" by the hand|strong="G5495", and said|strong="G3004" unto her|strong="G0846", \+w Talitha|strong="G5008"\+w* \+w cumi|strong="G2891"\+w*; which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076", being interpreted|strong="G3177", Damsel|strong="G2877", I say|strong="G3004" unto thee|strong="G4671", arise|strong="G1453".
42 And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" the damsel|strong="G2877" arose|strong="G0450", and|strong="G2532" walked|strong="G4043"; for|strong="G1063" she was|strong="G2258" of the age of|strong="G2094" twelve|strong="G1427" years|strong="G2094". And|strong="G2532" they were astonished|strong="G1839" with|strong="G1611" a great|strong="G3173" astonishment|strong="G1611".
43 And|strong="G2532" he charged|strong="G1291" them|strong="G0846" straitly|strong="G4183" that|strong="G2443" no man|strong="G3367" should know|strong="G1097" it|strong="G5124"; and|strong="G2532" commanded|strong="G2036" that something should be given|strong="G1325" her|strong="G0846" to eat|strong="G5315".
