1 O|strong="G5599" foolish|strong="G0453" Galatians|strong="G1052", who|strong="G5101" hath bewitched|strong="G0940" you|strong="G5209", that ye should|strong="G3982" not|strong="G3361" obey|strong="G3982" the truth|strong="G0225", before|strong="G2596" whose|strong="G3739" eyes|strong="G3788" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" hath been evidently set forth|strong="G4270", crucified|strong="G4717" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213"?
2 This|strong="G5124" only|strong="G3440" would|strong="G2309" I learn|strong="G3129" of|strong="G0575" you|strong="G5216", Received ye|strong="G2983" the Spirit|strong="G4151" by|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551", or|strong="G2228" by|strong="G1537" the hearing|strong="G0189" of faith|strong="G4102"?
3 Are ye|strong="G2075" so|strong="G3779" foolish|strong="G0453"? having begun|strong="G1728" in the Spirit|strong="G4151", are ye|strong="G2005" now|strong="G3568" made perfect|strong="G2005" by the flesh|strong="G4561"?
4 Have ye suffered|strong="G3958" so many things|strong="G5118" in vain|strong="G1500"? if|strong="G1489" it be yet|strong="G2532" in vain|strong="G1500".
5 He|strong="G2023" therefore|strong="G3767" that|strong="G3588" ministereth|strong="G2023" to you|strong="G5213" the Spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" worketh|strong="G1754" miracles|strong="G1411" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213", doeth he it by|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551", or|strong="G2228" by|strong="G1537" the hearing|strong="G0189" of faith|strong="G4102"?
6 Even as|strong="G2531" Abraham|strong="G0011" believed|strong="G4100" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" it was accounted|strong="G3049" to him|strong="G0846" for|strong="G1519" righteousness|strong="G1343".
7 Know ye|strong="G1097" therefore|strong="G0686" that|strong="G3754" they which are|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102", the same|strong="G3778" are|strong="G1526" the children of|strong="G5207" Abraham|strong="G0011".
8 And|strong="G1161" the scripture|strong="G1124", foreseeing|strong="G4275" that|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" would justify|strong="G1344" the heathen|strong="G1484" through|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102", preached before the gospel|strong="G4283" unto Abraham|strong="G0011", saying, In|strong="G1722" thee|strong="G4671" shall|strong="G2127" all|strong="G3956" nations|strong="G1484" be blessed|strong="G2127".
9 So then|strong="G5620" they|strong="G2127" which be|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102" are blessed|strong="G2127" with|strong="G4862" faithful|strong="G4103" Abraham|strong="G0011".
10 For|strong="G1063" as many as|strong="G3745" are|strong="G1526" of|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551" are|strong="G1526" under|strong="G5259" the curse|strong="G2671": for|strong="G1063" it is written|strong="G1125", Cursed|strong="G1944" is every one|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3739" continueth|strong="G1696" not|strong="G3756" in|strong="G1722" all things|strong="G3956" which|strong="G3588" are written|strong="G1125" in|strong="G1722" the book|strong="G0975" of the law|strong="G3551" to do|strong="G4160" them|strong="G0846".
11 But|strong="G1161" that|strong="G3754" no man|strong="G3762" is justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1722" the law|strong="G3551" in the sight of|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316", it is evident|strong="G1212": for|strong="G3754", The just|strong="G1342" shall live|strong="G2198" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102".
12 And|strong="G1161" the law|strong="G3551" is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102": but|strong="G0235", The man|strong="G0444" that doeth|strong="G4160" them|strong="G0846" shall live|strong="G2198" in|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846".
13 Christ|strong="G5547" hath redeemed|strong="G1805" us|strong="G2248" from|strong="G1537" the curse|strong="G2671" of the law|strong="G3551", being made|strong="G1096" a curse|strong="G2671" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G2257": for|strong="G1063" it is written|strong="G1125", Cursed|strong="G1944" is every one|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" hangeth|strong="G2910" on|strong="G1909" a tree|strong="G3586":
14 That|strong="G2443" the blessing|strong="G2129" of Abraham|strong="G0011" might come|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1519" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" through|strong="G1722" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547"; that|strong="G2443" we might receive|strong="G2983" the promise|strong="G1860" of the Spirit|strong="G4151" through|strong="G1223" faith|strong="G4102".
15 Brethren|strong="G0080", I speak|strong="G3004" after the manner of|strong="G2596" men|strong="G0444"; Though|strong="G3676" it be but|strong="G3676" a man’s|strong="G0444" covenant|strong="G1242", yet if it be confirmed|strong="G2964", no man|strong="G3762" disannulleth|strong="G0114", or|strong="G2228" addeth thereto|strong="G1928".
16 Now|strong="G1161" to Abraham|strong="G0011" and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" seed|strong="G4690" were|strong="G4483" the promises|strong="G1860" made|strong="G4483". He saith|strong="G3004" not|strong="G3756", And|strong="G2532" to seeds|strong="G4690", as|strong="G5613" of|strong="G1909" many|strong="G4183"; but|strong="G0235" as|strong="G5613" of|strong="G1909" one|strong="G1520", And|strong="G2532" to|strong="G4690" thy|strong="G4675" seed|strong="G4690", which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076" Christ|strong="G5547".
17 And|strong="G1161" this|strong="G5124" I say|strong="G3004", that the covenant|strong="G1242", that was confirmed before|strong="G4300" of|strong="G5259" God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547", the law|strong="G3551", which|strong="G3588" was|strong="G1096" four hundred|strong="G5071" and|strong="G2532" thirty|strong="G5144" years|strong="G2094" after|strong="G3326", cannot|strong="G3756" disannul|strong="G0208", that|strong="G3588" it should make|strong="G2673" the promise|strong="G1860" of none effect|strong="G2673".
18 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" the inheritance|strong="G2817" be of|strong="G1537" the law|strong="G3551", it is no more|strong="G3765" of|strong="G1537" promise|strong="G1860": but|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316" gave|strong="G5483" it to Abraham|strong="G0011" by|strong="G1223" promise|strong="G1860".
19 Wherefore|strong="G5101" then|strong="G3767" serveth the law|strong="G3551"? It was added|strong="G4369" because|strong="G5484" of transgressions|strong="G3847", till|strong="G0891" the seed|strong="G4690" should come|strong="G2064" to whom|strong="G3739" the promise was made|strong="G1861"; and it was ordained|strong="G1299" by|strong="G1223" angels|strong="G0032" in|strong="G1722" the hand|strong="G5495" of a mediator|strong="G3316".
20 Now|strong="G1161" a mediator|strong="G3316" is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" a mediator of one|strong="G1520", but|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G2076" one|strong="G1520".
21 Is the law|strong="G3551" then|strong="G3767" against|strong="G2596" the promises|strong="G1860" of God|strong="G2316"? God forbid|strong="G1096": for|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" there had been|strong="G1325" a law|strong="G3551" given|strong="G1325" which|strong="G3588" could have|strong="G1410" given life|strong="G2227", verily|strong="G3689" righteousness|strong="G1343" should have been|strong="G2258" by|strong="G1537" the law|strong="G3551".
22 But|strong="G0235" the scripture|strong="G1124" hath concluded|strong="G4788" all|strong="G3956" under|strong="G5259" sin|strong="G0266", that|strong="G2443" the promise|strong="G1860" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" might be given|strong="G1325" to them that|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100".
23 But|strong="G1161" before|strong="G4253" faith|strong="G4102" came|strong="G2064", we were kept|strong="G5432" under|strong="G5259" the law|strong="G3551", shut up|strong="G4788" unto|strong="G1519" the faith|strong="G4102" which|strong="G3588" should afterwards|strong="G3195" be revealed|strong="G0601".
24 Wherefore|strong="G5620" the law|strong="G3551" was|strong="G1096" our|strong="G2257" schoolmaster|strong="G3807" to bring us unto|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547", that|strong="G2443" we might be justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102".
25 But|strong="G1161" after that|strong="G3588" faith|strong="G4102" is come|strong="G2064", we are|strong="G2070" no longer|strong="G3765" under|strong="G5259" a schoolmaster|strong="G3807".
26 For|strong="G1063" ye are|strong="G2075" all|strong="G3956" the children|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316" by|strong="G1223" faith|strong="G4102" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424".
27 For|strong="G1063" as many|strong="G3745" of you|strong="G0907" as|strong="G3745" have been baptized|strong="G0907" into|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547" have put on|strong="G1746" Christ|strong="G5547".
28 There is|strong="G1762" neither|strong="G3756" Jew|strong="G2453" nor|strong="G3761" Greek|strong="G1672", there is|strong="G1762" neither|strong="G3756" bond|strong="G1401" nor|strong="G3761" free|strong="G1658", there is|strong="G1762" neither|strong="G3756" male|strong="G0730" nor|strong="G2532" female|strong="G2338": for|strong="G1063" ye|strong="G5210" are|strong="G2075" all|strong="G3956" one|strong="G1520" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424".
29 And|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" ye|strong="G5210" be Christ’s|strong="G5547", then|strong="G0686" are ye|strong="G2075" Abraham’s|strong="G0011" seed|strong="G4690", and|strong="G2532" heirs|strong="G2818" according to|strong="G2596" the promise|strong="G1860".
